Starting to feel like I'm missing out on something going on with CW. Need a close venue to watch them. 5 D1s in one class might be historic in CA.

Clovis West will be at Heritage High School in Brentwood on Dec. 27 at 4:30 p.m. vs. Prairie of Washington. I would expect CW to win this game fairly easily, but it's a good opportunity to check them out.

5 D1s in one class might be historic in CA.

about 15 years ago, Marin Catholic started 5 D1s. they started the season as the nation's #1, but stumbled along the way. Brooke Smith was the best known, she ended up at Stanford after a detour to Duke (I think) and was in the paint during the Wiggins era. a shout-out to the then-Campo shootout, which featured a barn-burner between them and Berkeley.

I know these early season rankings are somewhat suspect and a bit of a guessing game. I did catch a bit of the Mitty vs Menlo Atherton scrimmage last night. We all know MA played in the D1 state championship game last year and I believe they return their entire starting 5 players as well as adding Stella (transfer from Pinewood), but let me just say it was very apparent there were two entirely different teams on the court.

This could be Mitty's best team since 04 when I started following so yes, I would think they are on a different level than M-A.
