Wow! This is terrible. He had a heart episode last year at Berkeley.
He was good friends with my mentor Mike Granianni who died from a heart attack in the middle of the 2009-10 season. Coaching is stressful!

Sending my thoughts and prayers to his family. Would love to see the team rally around and play hard for them. They seemed to be headed in a good direction this year.

Positive update on Coach DeLuca: was scheduled to leave the hospital today (Wednesday) at noon. He is ok but is supposed to rest and not work. Great news! Uncertain what is next for him.....
