Viking Tip-Off Classic Tournament opens this week in Santa Rosa

Montgomery High in Santa Rosa is hosting the 25th Annual Russ Peterich Viking Tip-Off Classic this week starting on Thursday. This quality, early season tournament is always competitive and should be again this year. Eight team bracket includes four games each day with the first game starting at 4:00 on Thursday and Friday. Saturday's games begin at 11:00 with the Championship game tipping off at 3:30.

Opening round games on Thursday are:

4:00 Casa Grande vs North (Bakersfield)
5:30 James Logan vs Marin Catholic
7:00 Alameda vs Campolindo
8:30 Ukiah vs Montgomery

Come up north and enjoy the hospitality at Montgomery and see some excellent early season tournament activity.

TWO Bako teams made the roadie to Montgomery last year, Bako Christian and Bako North. I think they ended up facing each other or the final day, in a consolation game.
