Manteca 34 Turlock 22 halftime. No long runs for Manteca but grinding drives which Turlock has not stopped except for an interception. Turlock has had long plays, 60 yd. TD, 78 Yd. pass play to the 1. Manteca of course has two great backs but the offensive live play is the key, opening holes for them. They have also had short fields as Turlock apparently has no one who can kick off for any distance. Unless they're trying to do that. Manteca returned one kickoff almost all the way so maybe there is some reasoning here. To stop Manteca someone will have to have a a physical defensive line and linebackers to slow down the running game and make them pass. Having seen Central Catholic in a scrimmage I don't see them stopping Manteca. Haven't seen Oakdale but I would be surprised if they could stop them.
I’ve been asking for weeks. Balboa couldn’t hang with skyline Oakland last week.
That 41-0 is beyond a gift. Running clock 2Q? Did balboa bring a JV squad? Did oakdale play JV kids? Was that oakdale poster there?

Eagles went up 18-14 with about a minute and a half to go (I'm pretty sure Placer let them score), but the Hillmen hit a lot TD pass on 4th down for the win.
VDL had a chance to come back, but seemed to try to get 70-yard TD passes on 1st thru 3rd downs on their possession. Got a first, but by that time, they needed a miracle and didn't get it.

HOW ABOUT THOSE STRAW CHEWERS FROM AUBURN….Placer will get their BIG BOY back next week the OSU Committ Zander Esty serving a 3 game suspensionfor unsportsmanlike conduct vs Casa Roble in which BOTH were penalized but he threw 2nd punch which refs saw as usual,lol,and they could have used him tonight on both sides of ball at R/G and DT... two pretty evenly matched teams,it’s a good win vs a good VDL team…Good job Placer

The Placer-VDL series has produced a lot of good matchups. Nice win for Placer!
Manteca 59 Turlock 22. Manteca had short fields all second half due to interception, blocked punt, turnover on downs in Turlock territory. But even without that it wouldn't have mattered as they would have won easily. Turlock put in second string quarterback for 4th quarter. Manteca should go undefeated for regular season, at least. Turlock's death march continues next week at Clayton Valley. They have got to lighten up on the schedule next year.
