Week 8: Vacaville (3-3) at Vanden (6-0)

1. Vanden is the team on the upswing right now, but Vacaville has won at least a share of the MEL title every year since 2016. The Bulldogs have won 26 league games.

2. Vanden has won 13 games dating back to last season and have had nine different players score touchdowns. They have a defensive score and speical teams score to go with a team high five rushing touchdowns from Elijah Fisherman.

3. Vacaville junior running back Cristian Diosdado has rushed for more than 100 yards in each of the last two games including 163 yards and two touchdowns agianst Rodriguez last week.

Looks like Vanden is headed to D3 to join Placer and Oakdale.

This is a tough one. According to MaxPreps, Vanden hasn't beaten Vacaville, at least as far back as 2012. Vanden actually hasn't stayed within 15 pts in any of those five losses. However, the Cal Preps ratings say this is a close one (Vacaville 24-21). That's basically a coin toss. Should be interesting.

Vanden is probably better off in the long run if they lose this game. Outside of Casa Roble, there wouldn't be much competition for them in D4. I'm sure they want to beat Vacaville though.

I’m tempted to go with Vacaville given the recent history along with deferent level of SOS for pre-league for each team. However, I’m thinking this is Vanden’s year.

Vacaville lost it's QB a few weeks ago. The offense has no punch and the back-up plays scared. Can't believe there isn't anyone better or able to play QB.

Vanden should win unless Vacaville catches the breaks and turnovers. Putting Vanden in D4 was a joke and shouldn't be done again, they belong in D3 honestly.

Placer plays a good Lincoln tomorrow night and still have an undefeated and very good West Park in 2 weeks who return ALL starters on both sides of the ball from last yr,they have a very good QB in Sr Davelle Barksdale he’s the LaMar Jackson of the FVL,imo,good arm and runs very well.Placer has their work cut out for them vs Lincoln and West Park to win the FVL and play D3,we shall see soon enough...if not they will play D4! Go Placer
