there's been a sighting... she is playing in the women's premier basketball association for the Oakland Swish. the playoffs are this weekend at college of alameda.
Aquira is doing very well and is in a better mental state. She is one the dominate players in the women's PBA. Her college career was a challenge, but she is using this league for possible international play opportunities. This league is a platform for all women who have completed their college career who may want to go overseas. The games are streamed and real-time stats are recorded for countries to look at who may want to offer a spot to play.
the point guard on the team trains my friend daughter. she has gone to a few games and said that aquira is out there puttin in work.
Update: Aquira just completed the Womens Premier Basketball Association. She helped her team win the championship game in overtime by 1. She was voted the League MVP. She is started to find her nitch and love for the game and here attitude and approach is with a humble spirit. The WPBA will take place again next summer
are they going nationwide or will it remain just bay area teams? how many other players in the league were as highly acclaimed as aquira?
Go to womenspba.com. You should be able to access the rosters. the league is comprised of 6 teams. The games are streamed on a national and global scale. Other countries are able to watch. If one of the countries likes what they see they make the call to the commissioner which is Faatimah A. Other notables include Nola Taylor, Moriah Moore, Moriah Cooks, Meela Li, Doris Jones, jasmine and Kamilah Jackson(sisters). The competition was at a real high level. I was privileged to coach one of the teams.
