Defensive struggle in Q1.
Bellarmine opens with possession. One first down and punt.

Serra gets ball at own 43. Go for 4th and 2 but misses.

Bellarmine drives to Serra 5 but misses 4th and 1.

Serra drives to Bellarmine 10. Nunn passes and tip Int by Bellarmine.

Bellarmine goes three and out to punt.

End Q1
 
Serra and Bellarmine exchange touchdown drives. Lataimua 3yd run for Serra while Garcia 1yd run for Bellarmine. 7-7 midway Q2

Besides Serra's bad turnovers, questionable play calling and bad penalties the biggest difference in the 2nd half was the line play of Bellarmine. They were in the backfield all second half and their offensive line dominated as the running game picked up large chunks of yards. Bells coaches make huge adjustment in second half and Bells run right at the Serra's D-Ends who seem to rush up field all the time loosing containment.

All about miscues. Serra had won the last 3 against Bells and last nite the Padres had 3 Int's & a fumble for a -3 in the turnover dept vs the Bells. Nuthin' caoch Walsh can do in regrads to players not holding onto the ball or Bell's secondary making great plays for the Int's.
