Here are some locals I saw today with the start of college basketball:

Marcus Bagley (Sheldon) got the start for Arizona State and had 16 points and seven rebounds against Rhode Island.

Jamaree Bouyea (Palma) and Damari Milstead (Moreau Catholic) got starts for San Francisco in its loss to UMASS Lowell. Bouyea had 15 points and Milstead finished with seven.

Pacific beat UC Riverside 66-60. Riverside started Arinze Chidom (Bishop O'Dowd) and Zyon Pullin (College Park) and they have combined for 17 points
 
Keshad Johnson helped San Diego State beat my beloved UCLA Bruins 73-58.

He played 13 minutes, scored 2 pts, grabbed 3 boards, 2 assists, made 1 steal, no turnovers, and made one spectacular swat.
 
It was a NorCal show for Seattle in an 84-72 win over Portland. Riley Grigsby (Mitty) had 28 points and six rebounds. Emeki Udenyi (DLS) and Darrion Trammell (St Ignatius) were also in double figures. Trammell added 9 assists.
 
Jade Smith from St. Joe's played 43 minutes for Pepperdine in an epic 107-98 3-OT loss against UCLA. He scored 12 with 3 assists and 3 turnovers before fouling out. One guy on each team played all 55 minutes...

Unfortunately, I no longer get the Pac-12 Network (WTF, DirecTV??) or I would have been all over this game.
 
Second lopsided loss for Sam Houston State but vs Texas Tech , Bryce scored 11 points , 4 assists
Sidenote: First 3 weeks October Bryce contracted Covid-19 from a team mate who attended a volley ball get together. He had all the symptoms and breathing still is not 100 percent, then after returning sustained a tear in the ankle and bone bruise. Only been practicing a week before games begun

UC Davis is off to an 0-2 start but Ezra Manjon (Heritage) is averaging 25 points, four rebounds and five assists.

Keshad Johnson (San Leandro) led San Diego State off the bench with 14 points in a win over UC Irvine

Jamaree Bouyea had 19 points, six assists and no turnovers against Virginia.

Jordan Brown (Woodcreek/Prolific) had 19 points and 15 rebounds and James Akinjo (Salesian) had 19 points with four 3s in Arizona's win over Grambling

Hope he continues to get back to full health. Nice to see him on the floor this early

For as long as I can remember Bryce has always had some sort of injury and played through it. He is as tough as nails. Over time, these just add up and can affect him mentally. He may need the magical Paul Pierce wheelchair or see Oral Roberts. Best of luck to Bryce.

Just real unlucky on this one...teammate didn't let him land...landed on his foot so you know the rest
 
Michael Steadman (Logan) got the start for Montana and scored seven points in a loss to USC
 
Andre Kelly (Lincoln-Stockton) had four points and nine rebounds for Cal in 30 minutes off the bench against Nicholls.

Monty Bowser (Bishop O'Dowd) left the game early after taking a hard fall.
 
Speaking of Seattle, they have been added to UCLA's schedule on Thursday, 5pm. Pac-12 Network TV.

Their NorCal Championship game vs. Washington-SF was epic. Wash prevailed w/twin towers David Boone and Quentin Stephens leading the way.

Sacramento State's Christian Terrell (Sacramento) had 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in a win over Idaho. David Jones (Grant) had 2 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks in 15 minutes.

Dishon Jackson (St. Patrick-St. Vincent) had three rebounds in nine minutes off the bench for Washington State in a win over Oregon State.

UTEP played one game last week and Souley Boum (Oakland Tech) and Tydus Verhoeven (Manteca) were starters

yes he does . But first guy off the bench infers sixth man with lots of minutes. He’s currently 9th in minutes played and played a total of 5 and 2 min last 2 games

no first guy off the bench for the 5th rank illini were facts that did not require anyone to infer anything. it was just the fact. like the water is wet. now you can decide if the water is hot or cold but it is still wet.

Portland State's Elijah Hardy (Bishop O'Dowd) got the start and scored 16 points with four rebounds, four assists and two steals in a loss to Portland.
 
UC Riverside beat Denver 83-63 behind 22 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists from Zyon Pullin (College Park).

In Seattle's loss to Long Beach State, the Redhawks were led by Darrion Trammell (32 points) and Riley Grigsby (24 points).
 
Arizona beat Northern Arizona 96-53

Jordan Brown (Prolific Prep/Woodcreek) had 17 points and 11 rebounds. James Akinjo (Salesian) had nine points, three rebounds and three assists.

For Northern Arizona, Luke Avdalovic (Vista del Lago) had a team high 16 points
 
i watched the montana game tonight hoping to see local kids. only 1 is left on the roster. Falls and Gaskin are gone.

Looks like they have two with Steadman and Beasley, though Beasley may be redshirting.

For Georgia, Jonathan Ned (Heritage) had four rebounds in eight minutes off the bench

oh yea forgot about him. and didnt even realize that was the kid from heritage.

Joey Calcaterra (Marin Catholic) scored 18 for U of San Diego in an 83-56 loss to UCLA.
