Just watched the freshman game, where Vanden won 43-32.

Campo JV up 19-18 after 1 quarter. Both teams in varying fullcourt presses, entertaining stuff.

Varsity time…

This is Campo’s first official game, and they have drawn a very tough opponent in Vanden.

Vanden’s star, Tyler Thompson, returns after missing Saturday’s loss to Clovis East during the NorCal Tip Off. I believe they had one other guy out, don’t remember who, although I was told that he’s also a starter.

So Vanden is 0-2, but a very GOOD 0-2 team.

On the Cougs’ side, Tyler Bergen is still out, pending a knee MRI tomorrow, but Gavin Rendle returns to the floor after a couple weeks out with an unknown (to me) injury.

Timm Smith takes a nice entry pass and scores in the paint, but Thompson demonstrates his ridiculous bounce for a putback…. 4-2 Vanden.
