Foothill outlasted DLS 8-4 in 14 innings yesterday/last night. DLS scored in the bottom of the 7th to push it to extras, and neither team was able to break through until Foothill pushed across 4 in the 14th to seal the deal.

With SRV's loss to Granada, Amador Valley beating Livermore, and Cal high taking down Monte Vista, that leaves Cal high in 1st place in the EBAL as of now with a 7-2 record. DLS, SRV & AV are all knotted up a game back at 6-3 with 5 games left to play. As always, the EBAL is a very competitive league again this year.

Surprised the game didn't get called/delayed for darkness. That is a quick 14 innings. It is great to see some of these leagues races going into the last couple of weeks. A lot of jockeying in the EBAL, WCAL, SFL, etc.

Streak- EBAL games start at 4:00, sunset is now at 8:00 (still light.) So with no runs scored from 8th through 13th, that explains it. Some crews (many of CCUAs which does EBAL) are good at using the one minute/5 pitch warmup guidlines.

With two weeks to go, EBAL is jammed with 4 schools a game apart and a fifth in the running. This may be the first year in a while that all 8 schools make NCS (Livermore in D2.) MV and Foothill are struggling in league but could qualify. The state Freeman rankings confirms EBAL strength, with last years' MV/SRV not qualifying an aberration.
