First game, Clovis West is playing like the heavy favorite they are, their pressure causing much difficulty to Gregori…. It’s 11-2 CW, not even 3 full minutes in.

Yowie, it’s 24-8 now, Gregori is having loads of trouble with the CW pressure, Still almost 3 minutes left in the 1st,

NFHS feed is pretty good, and importantly the scoreboard is superimposed in the corner pic-in-pic style.

Otherwise, I’m going to shut up about this blowout…. 35-10 now, 1:16 left 1st.

1:13 left after a trade of turnovers…. Edison steal and foul! 1 and 1, 56 seconds, still 62-57…. Front end good, same for 2nd.

CE hits a high-bouncing 3! 64-60, 36 seconds left, Edison ball, time out.

Northgate has had a rough start at 2-7, and Cosumnes Oaks is 4-4.

After one Q, Nothgate leads CO 15-9.

couple of empty possesions, then CO hits a long wing 3. 27-19. And that’s half.

Northgate has gotten right back in it, playing D with more intensity…. 29-28 CO with 4:18 left in the 3rd.

But CO scores next time down, is fouled…. FT good, 32-28, 4:07 left 3rd.

Northgate with two buckets in a row, with a FT, good. They take the lead, 33-32. Steal, length of the floor drive, pass, layup…. Suddenly NG is up 3.

Now 37-34 after a bucket trade…. 2:26 left 3rd.

Wow, NG guy drove past four standing-still “defenders” for an easy score…. 39-34.

CO scores after almost falling out of bounds or traveling, like four times…. They get a stop, NG fouls, CO FT’s both good…. NG commits a charge, 7.5 seconds left, 39-38 Northgate, driving try ends up in a charge…. NG calls time to try and draw up a last-shot play, 2.7 seconds left, pass goes untouched over the end line…. CO gets a pair of shots, no go.

End of the 3rd, 39-38 Northgate…. Hoping I’m making at least a little sense…

CO answers. 41-40 NG.

5:31 left, CO in the bomus after a foul, front end missed.

NG gets no less than five tries this time down, but get nuthin’. And another foul puts CO at the line. Front end good, back end not. But CO gets the rebound…. and they hit a 3! CO grabs the lead, 44-43, 4:24 left.

Corner 3 goes down for the Broncos…. 46-44 NG…. then a steal and score.. 48-44 NG.

Foul, CO at the charity stripe…. Front end no good…. NG has it now, drive and score…. 50-44 NG, under 3 minutes.

NG gets it back, is fouled…. FT’s good… 52-44. Northgate doing the right things down the stretch.

Another CO foul, 1 and 1…. front end good. Bonus not. CO turns it over, tho…. 53-44, 1:51 left. They’ve almost put this one away.

Northgate turns out the lights on this one with a strong finish, it’s now 55-44 with some 45 seconds left.

The 6-2 Cougs are facing Turlock, with an 8-4 record.

Unfortunately, starting Coug point guard Tyler Bergren is out for at least a couple weeks with an injury.

Looks like 6’7” C Gavin Cox is the engine for Turlock, he’s averaging 23 points and an insane 17 rebounds per game…. Yipe.

Sanguinetti scores a short J for the Cougs…. 10-0. Ya can’t ask for a better start…

Naffziger hits a Cougs 3! 14-0, Cougs up by a pair of touchdowns…

First bucket for Turlock, the big guy, Cox.

and he gets another. 19-6.

Cougs try for last shot, but lose it out of bounds.. Desperation 3 by Turlock misses everything.

O’Reilly nails a 3…. 39-21.

Cougs get a stop, shot clock is off…. O’Reilly 3 bounces off, but Robeson grabs the offensive board, is fouled… FT’s good. 41-21. Last-second heave by Turlock, no go…. That’s the half.
