Palma Looking For Week 3 Game

That replaces Hilmar which they won 7-6. Seemed like a good matchup strength wise. Surprised it wasn't a two year deal.

I like the two potential teams contacted so far. Hopefully one will work out. Either would be great matchups. Won't say anything until announced. I'm commenting since this moves it up on the board.

Too bad Palma/Hilmar won’t play next year, they seem to be both high level small schools. But understand that Hilmar wouldn’t want to travel back to back years. Maybe a return visit is in the works in the future.

They filled a home and away with Yuma Catholic in AZ which is a well-regarded small school program in Yuma,AZ. The programs have connections. They also play Sacred Heart Prep and Mitty in non-league games. Not sure who is 4th but probably local PCAL lower division team. Palma has some talent this upcoming season with Palma QB Thomas Nunes, who is getting interest (camped at WA, an believe Idaho) and a couple other lover D1 programs are interested), D lineman Thomas Drucker, who will turn heads this upcoming season, is getting interest from Idaho, UC Davis, Georgetown and PENN Football, and WR Logan Saldate has offers from Arizona, Cal, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Washington and Washington State, Utah State so far. Nunes has been working hard since end of last season and he really has a live and strong arm and accuracy has gotten very good. He hits spots and will have a D1 WR to throw to. Palma TE also may be very good and they return other WR experience.

Palma's line still overall doesn't have much size. They will be better than last year on the lines because of experience and skill positions better than last year because of all that are returning and talent with depth. Should be better overall than last season but not close to top of the WCAL teams next season. They will compete for the title in their league with Salinas (won't be as talented as last season but should reload), Aptos (could be as good as last season) and Hollister (not sure yet how they will look).
