After LJCD scored the first six points, Eastside has scored the next six. At the media timeout with 328 left in Q1, we are tied at 6.

Chacitty Cunningham makes back to back 3s to end the quarter to give Eastside Prep a 12-10 lead end Q1. Destiny Graham was hit in the eye and had to leave the game, but returned to end the quarter.

LJCD leads Eastside Prep 19-18 with 3:00 left in Q2. Alaysia Styles has at least four blocks for LJCD.

San Francisco, Santa Clara, Arizona, San Diego State and Cal Ploy are here so far

LJCD leads Eastside Prep 22-20 at halftime. Mariana Ecija has 8 points for LJCD. Kalya Tahaafe and Chacitty Cunningham each have eight points for ESCP.

LJCD leads Eastside Prep 32-29 end Q3. Good back and forth game. Henson just made her first basket.

ESCP went eight minutes without a point before a Chacitty Cunningham three point. Tied at 32 with 342 left in Q4.

LJCD wins 40-36. Great effort from Eastside Prep. The zone and length inside for LJCD forced Eastside to make jumpers and that's a tough way to win. Eastside did a good job of slowing down LJCD, but they were able to push tempo a few times for easy buckets.

Bishop O'Dowd-Brea Olinda are up in about 10 minutes. I'll take O'Dowd in this one.

At the media timeout, Bishop O'Dowd leads Brea Olinda 9-6 with 240 left in Q1.

Bishop O'Dowd leads 12-10 end Q1. Good flow through the first eight minutes.

These games sure would be nicer if they were held at a time when more kids were out of school.

There will obviously be bigger crowds later.

I'd say there has been pretty good crowds so far.

O'Dowd leads 14-13 with 357 left in Q2.

O'Dowd and Brea Olinda are tied at 22 at halftime. Reilli Richardson and Tyiona Watkins have played well for Brea Olinda.

Myah Pace and Asha Thomas have combined for 11 points.

Bishop O'Dowd leads Brea Olinda 34-27 with 325 left in Q3. Dragons are on a 12-2 run led by Aisia Robertson

Bishop O'Dowd leads 40-31 heading into the fourth. Roberson led the way that quarter with Thomas also playing well.

Dragons are on a 22-9 run.

Bishop O'Dowd wins 55-40 for its third state title in four years. Caps excellent prep careers for Asha Thomas and Aisia Robertson.

Dragons led by as many as 22 points in the second half.

Streak One,

I'm not there but is the crowd older folks, because I know many of the local kids are still in school. There are a lot of young kids who would benefit from seeing high level play from their older peers.

Asha and Aisia may have won 4 for 4 had they been allowed to play last year. Congratulations to them both and to Bishop Odowd's entire team.

For the D3 boys game that just finished, there were two great student sections and University boys had a great cheering section.

In some cases, I think they close school early for the games.

Serra leads 14-5 with 245 left in Q1. Serra looking comfortable shooting here.

McClatchy is on a 9-0 run and trail Serra 14-12 end Q1. Nubla has 6 points for McClatchy.

Serra leads 19-15 with 355 left in Q2. Destiny Lee came off the bench and gave some nice production for the Lions.

Serra leads McClatchy 25-18 at halftime. Serra is outscoring McClatchy by 9 at the three point line. Briana Johnson has 13 points for Serra.

Nubla had 6 and Garcia has 5 for McClatchy.

Serra leads McClatchy 29-27. Just from game flow, McClatchy looks like the better team. Missed a lot of chippies tonight.

Serra leads McClatchy 33-29 end Q3. Briana Johnson was a non-factor that quarter.

McClatchy leads Serra 39-36 with 334 left in Q4. Lions are on an 8-0 and their ball pressure has led to a +10 this half. Rotating a lot of guards giving max effort on the ball.

McClatchy was up 10 with a minute left, but got outscored 13-3 to send the game to overtime tied at 49. Briana Johnson made a three pointer past NBA range with time winding down

Going to a second overtime. Serra and McClatchy are tied at 55. Serra had a great play design on its last possession and got two nice looks in the paint, but couldn't convert.

McClatchy wins 65-61 in double overtime. Fantastic game and great resolve from both teams. Could have checked out a couple of times and didn't.

That was one heck of a game!!!! Just what you want out of a State Final. Congratulations to McClatchy!!!!!!
