All kudos to the visitors. They did what was necessary to shut down the Padres at critical moments. Turnovers were huge. LG QB is outstanding. On to Phelan (oops) Avenue.
Tough weekend for the Gabilan divisions top two teams - Soquel and Salinas. I get it- they were going up against arguably the WCAL top dogs -but the final results were disappointing. I really felt like the games had a chance to be somewhat competitive.
Ball game. Hard to beat a good team 2x. Crappy draw for both teams. Take a way that 1 run that MC had and today was Newmans day. But if these teams played again its a toss up.
