Game of the Week Poll

Rocklin @ Folsom

@larry legend33 @ThunderRam still waiting on those passing stats! heard rocklin could really spin it!!

Not sure what the point of this is?…. Neither @larry legend33 or @ThunderRam said that Rocklin would win….

They just pointed out that Rocklins’s QB is good and has some College offers which means he can pass the ball…. 🤷‍♂️

2026 Football Top 25 Rankings

Wes Burford should be on this list. But he is probably a better wrestler. Last night he dominated both sides of the ball. For first half!
Friday stat line. 170 yards rushing. Short field all night. On 12 carries. 2TD. 1 Td receiving. One completed pass for 20 yards. 1 TD fumble recovery 30 yards. 6 solo tackles. Fun to watch! He reminds me of Cameron Skatabo from Rio Linda.

Davis Forfeits Game(S) against Folsom

***IF*** Davis did back out of the game on their own accord, then shame on the Davis adults in the room. Both teams should have an opportunity to play this week. Timing is the enemy in situations like these...It is much more difficult to find a game the week of, than in February/March.

Other scenarios are also possible (I have zero direct knowledge of the situation). I just hope that the Davis adults didn't do such a thing to the kids of Folsom and the kids of Davis this late without their hands being tied by a sickness/injury scenario.

Davis Forfeits Game(S) against Folsom

Yes, the young team with few players (14) were asked to leave the TVL. Brice Fantazia the AD allowed for the move for couple years until we can reboot or decide what is best for MC football. We play hoops in Tri-City and the current team needs to schedule schools that meet the size and talent level. Go Crusaders!!
putting modesto chrisian basketball in the TRI city league is an equally stupid move by the sacramento sjs section. TRI means three. meaning the league should only be allowed to have a maximum of three cities represented. the three cities are stockton lodi and tracy. words have meanings except apparently to the "people" who run sacramento sjs.

Which team had the more impressive performance this past Friday night, Pittsburg or St. Mary's?

to answer the question though. it was saint marys by far.

truth be told, de la salle has a better team than bosco does this year (due to dls seniority vs. bosco's youth and losing best player) so saint marys doing what they did is infinitely more impressive.

plus pitt really should have WON that game so they underachieved as per usual. if they don't choke with that dumb play call they win running away.

saint marys by a mile and if they play each other in a regional game saint marys mops the field with them.

Davis Forfeits Game(S) against Folsom

Football-Only leagues would have prevented this problem. A-B-C levels with promotion and relegation on a two-year cycle. The obvious answer is just sitting there for the taking.
This would require common sense, the SJS is a little short on this.

BTW, best idea to solve this problem, should have been done 20 years ago!

Can’t blame the kids here at all. The departure of the head coach so close to season was the main reason. He should never be allowed to coach again. As for this season, all 14 kids should get the option to transfer to neighboring Gregori. A walk thru an almond orchard away. Good luck on the rebuild.

WCAL 2024-25 SEASON

Jamar was 1992-1996. He was an unbelievable RB of speed, size, and power. He is the rare athlete who did not require a massive offensive line to amass his rushing yards. His crown jewel moment was not as a RB but as a DB with a 90+ yard pick-6 off some Serra QB during a late 4th quarter game winning drive.

Jamar might not have been the best Sheppard as his younger brother Jermaine was also an excellent RB for SH and score many touchdowns and ran for a ton of yards. The Sheppard tree kept going with his son Jamar Williams-Sheppard who had quite an SH career like his dad. There was one more Sheppard, but I believe it was just Williams, which was a tragic story... as a freshman was murdered right outside of campus. I dont know if this case was ever solved but it was just a sad, sad moment.
Great info. That’s where I thought it was the WCAL title and forgot we were independent. Was at every game that undefeated year. And man it was like everytime Jamar turned the corner he was gone.

Which team had the more impressive performance this past Friday night, Pittsburg or St. Mary's?

Wow, that is a really tough one. I did see most of both games.

Given the entire season so far, I would have a no-doubt vote for Pitts. SM has had some good games but lost a head-scratcher with BM while Pitts smoked them.

Both teams performed very well Friday night. And I was impressed by both teams. Neither team appeared to fall into the subtle intimidation mindset that sometimes happens when playing a superior team. And in a way, SM has DLS' inside ticket based on past performances together.

Here's the trending data presented by CP for these two games. Pitts has a current rating of 56.6 and their performance rating with SJB was 62.2 which is almost a 6 point margin. SM has a current rating of 38.6 and the performance rating with DLS was 56.5 creating a 14 point margin. So CalPreps suggests SM had a more unexpected outcome.

SM had an impressive and surprising near loss with DLS. Pitts also had an impressive performance in its wider margin loss to SJB. If the question was which team had the most surprising performance, hands down, that was SM. In fact that might be one way to interpret the the word impressive. But I think of impressive as being a series of consistent great plays and when comparing SM best plays against Pitts best plays, and considering their opponents, I am leaning towards Pitts being more impressive Friday night than SM.

WCAL 2024-25 SEASON

He played in 1995. His senior year may have been 1996. I don’t recall that far back to be honest. I do recall Jamar being recruited by Nebraska. May have ended up at Cal. But my memory struggles thinking that far back. But if the kid got outside. It was stiff arms and to the house like nobody’s buisness. I believe it was thought that the next Sheppard at SH was his son, but never paid attention to much at that time to confirm such.
