After a Soquel 3 and out, Mitchell hits Lawson for a 54 yard TD. Lawson got behind defense and Mitchell hit him in stride.

Arcata is a D5 school playing D6. The D4 bracket has 7 D2 teams and a D3 team. The D7 bracket is all D5 and D6 schools but Ferndale. There are so many problems with the adopted format. It is unfortunate.

What I meant was... If you want any further info, and click a team, it goes to the MaxPreps main page. But now I see there is basic win/loss and score beneath each team. My bad.

So, now the question is... How do get from this page Calpreps California, which is my bookmark, to the Oregon page? I'd sure like to be able to look at other states...

I thought SI would have a home game, but I checked Max prep just to confirm and it showed at Salinas. Vice versa, still tough for any visiting team. One end of the CCS to the other.

The size and speed difference was pretty obvious in this game. Salinas looked fine their first drive and then rattled off a bunch of penalities. The mistakes and undisciplined football piled up from there. SI wins this game no matter what. They have to figure out how to avoid Open/DI or else they will continue to be one and done. It's a different level competing with the top 8 teams in CCS. They have never been competitive in a true open division.

It was nice, at least, to see that Downey’s offense was able to move the ball, since 28 points is the most any other team has scored against Folsom so far this year. Plus, they twice lost the ball on Folsom’s one-yard line. Anyway, I’m very proud of Downey team #73!

Saw my first game there I 1963 or 64 Saturday night game vs Turlock 6-7 Cherokee lose. Terremere on the El Camino great facility.

FYI- The game wasn't in Salinas.

Liberty, Heritage both benefited. Even Antioch who was not good this year got anD4 birth. BVAL (sans Pitt) has the golden ticket without the DLS machine to run into.

I am just going to pick Palma to lose. That always seems to get them a victory.😂

even more impressive is the road game travel, from the sands of the sunset to the dirt of salinas.. thats a long trip on a friday afternoon..... Im sure the cats ride in style though

Palma got the best draw after beating SHC. Wilcox defeated both Menlo and Menlo Atherton in league games. Palmaand Menlo have similar Calpreps ratings. With bump Palma will be favored but I like being underdog better. Should be a good game. Soph QB and Dukes and defense showed up big tonight.

Palma got a great draw. Carmel being held to DIII made DII not as strong. Palma vs Menlo is an interesting matchup. I watched a little bit of Christopher vs Menlo last night. Menlo is going to have a tough time stopping the Palma run game. They aren't very big or fast on defense. Christopher kept trying to take deep shots which killed them but were having no problem running the ball. Menlo spreads the field on offense which Palma has struggled with. It didn't appear that they had any top tier talent at the skill positions. Palma has fast CBs but they arent the biggest or most physical. Not having to deal with a Kayvon Collins or Emarrcis Turner type of WR really helps them. Menlo likes to take deep shots.

I give the advantage to Palma. Dukes and co are too good running the ball. Palma's OL is solid. They have 3 TEs are that are all good blockers. Once Menlo starts to stack the box Palma will hit them with a PA deep shot to soften them up. They have always been known to sprinkle in the trick plays in the playoffs.

Yes, literally the worst start imaginable. Even so, MT battled back and made a game of it in the first half. It was the 3rd quarter where Oak Ridge just separated. MT has a good team, but very little depth. Oak Ridge just had players at every position and they are very well coached. Best of luck to them in the remainder of the post-season.

Totally agree!!…. Winning 3 or 4 games and moving DOWN 2 divisions making the playoffs is Rediculous….

MaxPreps should be used as a primary factor, not as an exact format to seed. Also bottom line you have to be .500. Stop putting in 3-7 , 4-6 teams in at any division.. it’s like being bowl eligible gotta win 5 games to qualify

Incredible game! Turlock converted 3 straight 2-point PAT's at the end. CC up 35-27 with about 1:40 left and Turlock drives the field and scores with 13 seconds left and converts the 2-point PAT to send it into overtime.
