WEEK ONE PREDICTIONS---BLACK FRIDAY

Out of all the predictions, 10 went wrong as teams had other ideas as to what the out come should be and all were good football games with a little climax to go along .

FreeLance
The Pick
San Leandro 28 Logan 25......Final score Logan 26 San Leandro 20.....close but no cigar

Games of Interest
Cardinal Newman 31 St. Mary's of Stockton 24.....Final score St. Mary's 35 Cardinal Newman 34...One of the best exciting games of the week....St. Mary's grad. a lot of last season's players, but they also had a 9-1 JV team to move up which filled the gaps and the game was on...Now CN could have kicked a PAT and tied the game, but they took a chance for a two point conversion and it was Brookshire who had been leading the Cardinal charge all night to finish the game and not take the chance of overtime or a tie. But what looked like a sure two pointer was declared short as the ref's claimed Brookshire's knee's hit the ground first before he crossed the goal line...In any case, what a exciting game...

Ebal
Freedom 32 Footthill 28.....Final Score Foothill 28 Freedom 14.....Two Freedom fumbles in the early going inside the 10 yard line and a ground game that could not get untracted...Plus a young QB leading Foothill was the beginning of the end for Freedom. Now the talk in the stands were real unhappy fans with the way the game was called as they thought that Freedom had a group of sure handed receivers that could have made a early difference in the game...But a stubborn Foothill defense held Freedom in check all thru the first half and Freedom could never catch up.
McKinleyville 30 Livermore 20.....Final score...Livermore 49 McKinleyville 20......What is going on in cowboy land as they racked up win number two...MC had a solid passing game going into Friday nights game, but the new Cowboys caught us by surprise...a Great win for Livermore.

Bval
Miliptas 38 Antioch 32.....Final score....Antioch 47 Milipitas 22...Miliptias' defense was though to slow down Harris and the Panthers, but Antioch unleaded a wild scoring attack...so the answer is don't bet against Antioch..
Liberty 34 Chico 24.....Final score....Chico 41 Liberty 34.....The Lions took off to a big lead only to see Chico come roaring from behind and win...this wasn't expected..
Heritage 27 Pacheco 12.....Final score Pacheco 28 Heritage 27.......The Patriots on paper looked like the team to win on Friday night, but got edged on a missed PAT for a possible tie and then it might be over time...

Dfal
Castro Valley 26 Dougherty Valley 20.....Final score Dougherty Valley 21 Castro Valley 14....Its the rise of the Wildcats as they racked up win number two...It always seemed that DV was disappointing, but the 2015 season has seem DV surprise very body as the Wildcats have found a way to win...

Dval
North Gate 26 Windsor 19......Final score Windsor 38 North Gate 22.....talk about under estimating Windsor...North gate looked good in week 0, but the kids at Windsor went to work early and finished off the Bronco's
Ygnacio Valley 19 Mission of S.F. 13.....Final score Mission 41 YG 30......Loss number two for Yg as the warrior defense could not perform again...And we over estimated the Warriors.

Vacaville 14 Oak Ridge 43 FINAL

Not much to say, other than I'm excited for another year of Bulldog Football and all the other High School football action. It looks like its going to be hard for my Bulldogs to beat Oak Ridge once again, with QB Ian Book(Notre Dame) on his senior year and with his
excellent passing. Also with Vacaville having lost most of their starting players to graduation. But once again I trust their system and coach Pop that they are still going to keep competing against tough non league opponents because Vacaville has such a good program that their players are always ready to start a season even after they loose their top players to graduation every year or every other year.

DEFENSE..DEFENSE..DEFENSE!!!

GO VACAVILLE BULLDOGS!!

Dfal almost sweeps competition

Except Alhambra all dfal teams were big winners!

If u thought campo was going to be off, well they are off and running at 2-0 with a nice win over SI.

The two surprises are soon to be EBALers Dublin and DV both of which are 2-0 and both had good wins over American and Castro Valley respectively.

Dublin used a ground and pound running game mixed in with a short passing game to dominate. Wade finally realized that you change you tactics based on the talent you have and not based on what you like to do. The result is a 2-0 start . I would like to see some motion, tied in with some qb boot legs and reverses to the motion guy to keep the defense a little off balance and confuse them.

LL bounced back and won as did acalanes.
Miramonte also won and put up big numbers.

De La Salle Haters want their cake and eat it too

When De la salle wins open state title after state title, it's because they recruit. The Streak because they recruit. Almost 25 yrs not losing against NorCal it's because they recruit.
When they lose against national teams, the haters say they have no business playing those games because they don't have the blue chips, they don't have the skill position talent needed, they don't have the size on the line to compete, so which one is it hater's?
The hater's say they embarrassed California, even say they shouldn't schedule these games they could lose.....everybody gets their opinion but to hate on 16-17 kids who put so much effort, training and sacrifice, so much for their school and their true brotherhood, this needs to stop. All they have done is stay on top of NorCal and CA the largest state in the U.S. for 30yrs plus, think about for a minute, you don't have to like them, root for them, but you need to respect that and know it will never be duplicated again in your lifetime.
