Jimmy Jaggers update

Nice summary from Rivals.com West Coast analyst Adam Gorney on Roseville 2017 TE Jimmy Jaggers.

Perhaps no player in that regard seems as likely as Roseville (Calif.) tight end Jimmy Jaggers. The 6-4, 230-pounder is the No. 140 overall prospect nationally in the 2017 class, and could be a good fit for Big Ten ball. A past visit to Ann Arbor intrigued the four-star about playing for Michigan, and he plans to continue showing interest.

"He could fit well in the Big Ten," Gorney said. "He's not a super-fast tight end, but he's massive. He can be a blocker, or he can split out and run routes and catch down the field. He might even be an offensive tackle if he continues to grow, though he's not thinking about that just yet.

"He likes Stanford a lot for a lot of the same reasons he likes Michigan. He's a less polished [2016 commit] Kaden Smith. If Stanford offers they might be tough to beat.

He has a lot of respect for all coaching staffs that he interacts with. He fell in love with Fitz [head coach Pat Fitzgerald] at Northwestern. He's very complimentary and respectful to every coach that shows him interest. He loved his trip to Michigan, was blown away, loves Harbaugh and what they're going to be doing there. He's by no means narrowing things soon though, so it's early for him."

1987 De La Salle vs. Monte Vista game

Damon Bowers is one the best players in the history of Monte Vista. He later played at UOP, San Jose State and in the Arena League. In this episode we look back at the 1987 NCS Championship Game at the Oakland Coliseum between De La Salle and Monte Vista. Damon was in 7th grade and remembers the game differently than me. In Part 2 we discuss the possibility of reunititing Rob Forester and Steve Abrams all these years later and recreating the collision. Damon jokes we will need a a pretty big insurance policy. Damon grew up with Patrick Walsh in Alamo. As kids they would reenact the Rob Forester and Steve Abrams collision at the goal line. Later Damon went to Monte Vista and Patrick went to De La Salle. They played together at San Jose State and remain best friends. Here is the link 1987 De La Salle vs. Monte Vista. Thanks for watching.

Vacaville & Clayton Valley Full Pad Scrimmage?

Disregard previous message. A bunch of schools participated in the Sac State Team Football Camp.

Then again...I must ask...How does this CIF rule apply to these team contact camps?

2.7 NO SCHOOL WILL BE ALLOWED TO USE PROTECTIVE GEAR FROM THEIR LAST FOOTBALL GAME UNTIL THE OFFICIAL DAY TO START PRACTICE THE FOLLOWING FALL. THE PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS OF THIS RULES:
  • FIRST OFFENSE: PRACTICE DAYS WILL BE REDUCED TWO FOR ONE FOR THE NUMBER OF DAYS IN VIOLATION
  • SECOND OFFENSE: TEAMS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN THE PLAY-OFFS

Can someone shed some light on what this match-up was all about back on 6/16 (see link below)? Definitely doesn't look like a Pee-Wee league or Semi-Pro.

Thanks.
