Very happy for Coach Brennan. Three bowl games in last four years is quite an accomplishment at SJSU. Big loss for that program. A loss for an area football squad as well. His son was heir apparent for Los Gatos QB job in ‘24.

Caden Pinnick committed to UCD. One of the best players I've seen over the past decade + that I can recall out of Sacramento area. Incredibly talented with his feet and was a one man show at times for DO. Currently in running for MVP of SFL in basketball. Rare 3 sport athlete. Didn't have that elite size that so many colleges are after now but I like his chances at Davis.

On Saturday, Redwood played one of the most astounding first halves ever seen in my illustrious (??) “career” as a HS hoops fan, holding Clovis West’s high-octane offense to just 14 points…

The bad news, I heard from an assistant coach that they are going to severely limit minutes, even possibly holding out some stars altogether, due to a tough league game tomorrow. This includes point guard Jake Vasquez, who was absolutely amazing Saturday.

Anyway, they face Moreau today, and the game is already going on…. so I don’t have any takes on what they’re doing today.

This is the first time in the history of recruiting rankings that the no 1 player in 3 seperate classes will be playing each other on the same court. Flagg 2024, Dybantsa 2025, and Stokes 2026.

Between the two teams there are probably 13-15 D1 players. Both teams would probably beat the majority of non top 25 D1 schools out there.

Prolific has been around for awhile now. Tomorrow will mark the first time Prolific and Montverde have faced off against one another.

Next week Prolific will play at home for the first time in months as they host Dream City Christian and Bella Vista Prep. I highly suggest everyone show up early as there is a good chance all 3 days sell out.

They will then follow Crush In the Valley up by playing in Montverde’s own tournament later this month. So there is a good chance Montverde might meet Prolific twice this year, and maybe a third in the national championship tournament formerly known as Geicos.

Golden State Prep (Napa Valley, CA) went 3-0 at the Hoop Hall Classic in Springfield, Massachussets this past weekend. GSP had huge wins vs Covenant Prep (NJ), Tennessee Prep, and Link Year Prep (MO). Link Prep was the Pre-season #1 team in the Nation, and currently ranked #5 in the Nation. GSP Was up 22 points with 4 minutes to play and cruised to an easy victory. Jayden Russotti (Windsor HS, CA) led all scorers with 25 points (7-10 3-Pointers), and great games from Vuk Vukicevic (Serbia), Jaxon Olvera (Houston) and Nequan Brown (Washington). After this showing, scouts will rank GSP in the top of the Nation next week.

GSP will play at the Crush in the Valley Next weekend in Norcal (Jan 19 & 21st) at Contra Costa College. Then will head to Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia and play 3 top 10 ranked opponents (Mt. Zion, Combine Prep & Fork Union Military Academy).

Golden State Prep is a post graduate program that has been around for 5 years. GSP has solidified itself as one of the top programs in the Nation. Last year GSP had a Nation leading 5 D1 commits and this year is looking to have another 5+ D1 Prospects.

Harmon then steals the ball and SF fouls with 0:05 seconds left. Harmon (18pts) makes both FTs for the final score. Sophomore Joy Omishakin has 14; Novi has 12. Falcons now 13-4. Fourth consecutive Holy Hoops win (two cancelled by COVID); sixth consecutive overall vs SF, including tournament wins.
