Celibrate this!

There has been nothing said about the tragedy at Grant that can be understated. This will be without a doubt, a defining period of time for the Grant players, school, and community. What I want to comment on, though, was a display of kindness, support, and love that just can't be ignored. I thought the players who came from the different high schools in the area to support Grant High School on Monday night was one of the most impressive displays of humanity that I've ever witnessed. This was truly breath taking and I can't express the emotion that it caused in myself when I saw it. To the players who did this, and to whomever provided the inspiration to do it, your class and spirit will never be forgotten, and it's a worthy reminder of what the best in all of us can provide in times of turmoil and unrest. This includes all of the schools that sent telegraphs, food, fruit baskets, and everything else sent in support of this team, school and community. Blessings to you all!

Will C. Wood 49 vs 25 Vacaville FINAL they win after 18 years

I been reading mixed predictions about Vacaville making or not making the playoffs in case of a loss to Wood. The Vacaville Reporter stated that the top two seeds of the MEL go to the playoffs and if Vacaville were to lose they would most likely miss the playoffs being a 5-5 team. So it looks like its "win or go home" for my Bulldogs. The one big concern for me is their passing defense, we've seen it in those last 2mins of the Napa game. Vacaville had totally shut down Napa's running game until they started to pass the ball at the end of that game and that's how they made the comeback, with their passing. Will C. Wood is having one heck of a year in the passing game, that's what I'm worried about and Vacaville has always been known to have trouble stopping pass heavy teams.

Vacaville tough season so far might be one advantage against Wood, they are very well battle tested and looks like Wood had trouble against a physical Napa team. Vacaville needs to come out as physical and defensive as they did against Napa to be able to keep their playoff hopes alive. Looks like we are in for a nice Black and Blue Bowl.

DEFENSE..DEFENSE..DEFENSE!!!
GO VACAVILLE BULLDOGS!!!

lou richie & richard midgley

sat by both lou richie & richard midgley at haas pavilion last monday night

richie told me his bishop o'dowd dragons will be inexperienced this season but with great talent & that they have the potential to be a nationally ranked team in a year or two...2018 point elijah hardy has a cal offer & is a high risk facilitator with tremendous quickness...his incoming freshmen include a big with raw but huge upside potential

midgley told me that his modesto christian crusaders have the potential to return to the nor cal open championshp game...he joked about enjoying watching ivan rabb rabb play for the bear vs having to gameplan against him (both richie & midgley along with golden state warriors staff member theo robertson are very close friends)...he thinks their 1st game vs folsom on november 28th in the prep tip off classic will be a real test, he's a huge fan of jordan ford's game after he helped coached the oakland soldiers this summer
