Vacaville 7 vs Granite Bay 42 FINAL

All I want is Vacaville to play hard and give 100% of effort like they did in the fourth quarter of the game at Enterprise. I always love that Vacaville is, most of the time, the underdog against these powerhouse teams. One of the posters on here @G61 promises that Vacaville will get blown out in this one. Im sure if they don't limit the turnovers and they don't improve their defense they won't have a chance to compete. Its good that Vacaville has this tough non-league schedule because it let's them know at what level are they at in each season.

DEFENSE..DEFENSE..DEFENSE!!!

GO VACAVILLE BULLDOGS!!!

HEY REB!

Tony Sanchez (Granada Alum, Cal High ex coach) leads UNLV home with the CANNON! His team is looking great. Michigan has allowed 200 total yards in their last two games, SancheZ's team far exceeded that against BLUE. Followed by and 80 point game and a huge in state win. Sanchez owns the state. His team is one win away from hitting the over in Vegas. This is all with none of his recruits (his assumed strength) Watch out MOUNTAIN WEST!

Watchout, Palma: Salinas Cowboys bale the Balers in The Pit!

If the Salinas Cowboys have anything to say about it (as they surely did Friday nite in the Pit after holding off a final quarter surge to extend their game long lead and beat the San Benito/Hollister Hay Balers 39-16), it's looking like the Central Coast Section's Monterey Bay-Gabilon League could come down to what happens when the Palma Bag Pipers (I can't spell Chieftans correctly) and Salinas meet prior to the generally annual League decider between Palma and Hollister.

Now, with the Cowboys' serious win over the Balers (after getting drubbed last week 46-6 by Milpitas), Salinas is going to make the end of the season just that much more precious for the thousands of home town fans who pack the Pit each game (ie., get to the next one early cause parking can be a bwitch).

Friday nite, the Cowboys primary scoring attack came on 2 TDs by Jack "The Ripper" Schuler and a trio of passing TDs from Matt Castenada to Ryan Jensen, two of them for 48 and 50 yards. Last time I saw Castenada throwing was about three weeks ago against Pioneer of San Jose, his arm (quite strong) and accuracy much improved since then. Muds

DLS 37- GB 0 Final

DLS is playing like crap, but leads 16-0. Were they playing an OOS game, or even one of the better SoCal teams they would likely be losing by at least 2 scores.

4 turnovers at least 70+ yards in penalties. The only reason they are winning is because the defense held GB without an earned first down (as in one not given because of a penalty) until GB's last drive of the half with a minute left and DLS in a prevent. DLS' possessions have gone fumble, then muffed the GB punt, TD, went 3 and out thanks to some questionable play calling (3 straight pass plays which I don't get when the team is clearly not executing), fumble, fumble, TD. 3 fumbles have occurred deep in GB territory, including the last one at the goal line (although it led to a safety and TD).

To be fair GB has committed a number of penalties as well.

I don't know what happened on the bye week, but film session will not be fun tomorrow.
