Every Summer Paye’s Performance Volleyball Club offers a Summer Volleyball League. The league is for middle school 7th and 8th grade teams. This is a great way for school coaches to get their team some practice before school starts in the Fall. We accept up to 9 teams in each league. Each team plays two games and refs one match. All players receive a Paye’s t-shirt. There are two ways to sign up. Coaches can sign up their whole team or players can sign up individually. It is a great forum to ask questions regarding Paye’s Club volleyball. It also gives players to ability to socialize with other players that might be interested in playing club volleyball at Paye’s. Zac Jarzynka Memorial Ironman Tournament IX
28-29 Dec 2010

The Zac Jarzynka Memorial Ironman Tournament, a nationally-recognized high school wrestling tournament held annually at Oviedo High School in Oviedo, Florida will take place this upcoming season on 28-29 Dec 2010. This is an individually bracketed tournament of 32 teams from across the United States.

This tourney, in its first eight years has included competing teams from OH, PA, OK, CA, MO, NY, TX, VA, TN, AL, SC, LA, GA and FL.

The Zac Jarzynka high school tournament has been recognized as one of the top tournaments in the nation by Amateur Wrestling News and by W.I.N. Magazine in years past. Additionally, in the first eight editions of this tourney nearly $40,000 in scholarship money has been awarded ? seniors from all teams competing are eligible to receive scholarships.

Oviedo, Florida is a suburb of Orlando, with the Disney and Universal Studios amusement parks located about 30 minutes away, with Florida ocean beaches just 45 minutes to the east. Oviedo is a quick, easy 30 mile highway drive from the Orlando International Airport (rated recently amongst all major airports as #1 for lowest airfares in the U.S., with many flights less than $200 roundtrip). The holiday period of this tournament offers a great place to wrestle top competition with no school days missed, while at the same time providing teams the opportunity to extend their stay to take in the great winter weather of Florida (average Orlando area temperatures in December are a high of 73, with a low of 51), the amusement parks, major college football bowl games, and the beaches.

SHC finished second to Santa Cruz 1-0 in the CCS Division III final. St. Francis won D-II. Irish finished with a best-ever record for them 14-8-3. From what I hear, the Irish were the better team out there, so maybe we'll see a better result next season.

... for a soccer match. SI took the girls game 2-1 and the boys game 1-0 after scoring in the first minute. I suspect we'll see this double-header event more often.

Irish beat Bishop O'Dowd in 4 games and will play Cathedral Catholic for the State title.

North Carolina teams do not mind travelling and we all, no matter what state we are in, need help filling dates. So to do this, I created a group in Yahoo...
