Liberty vs Newman this week. Huge game. Real tall task for a much smaller team in Newman. They have a history of playing bigger schools well however.

Tough task for both teams. Liberty is fairly new to this type of big game, despite the program being around forever. Great to have matchups such as this one. Liberty has to be favored, but by no means will it be a walk in the park. Buckle up.

I agree that Liberty should win and is the heavy favorite, but the game is in Santa Rosa and Liberty isn’t used to playing big games. A loss to a team like CN would most likely torpedo their Open hopes unless they proceed to run the table and beat both Pitt and Antioch. If they stroll into that game just expecting CN to roll over, they may be sorry. If they bring it, they should win by a couple of TDs.

Not so fast my friend. CN has a good team and they're more than capable of winning this game in their house. CN is coming off a very good win against a very physical team from Utah. This game is a toss up on paper due to the fact both teams are well coached and physical. Newman being at home may give them the advantage in this game. Be careful my friend.

If CN wins this game, they’ve got to be a candidate for one of the Open spots. Especially if Liberty were to then knock off Antioch and/or Pitt. It is so wide open at this point for seeds 2-4, with only 1 sure thing.

Cardinal Newman will be lucky if they survive this game. Some of these smaller schools get a reputation as being great programs and they are great... at the small school level. The difference between the top D1 and D2-5 is like the difference between varsity and JV.
