Junior Connor Harrison had a home run and five RBI and Cade Cushing added two RBI. Sam Sitzman struck out six batters in relief to get the win. The Grizzlies got two RBI apiece from Nic Bronzini, who also threw two innings of relief, and Aidan Camberg.
Tyler Yocum went 4-for-4 with five RBI in Mountain View’s (9-6) 11-3 win over Santa Clara (10-7). Chase Yocum threw four innings with seven strikeouts to get his fourth win of the year. Jordan Montez went 2-for-3 with two RBI for the Bruins.
Rio Americano (10-5) beat #19 Vista del Lago (14-3) 20-3 in five innings to split the first two games between the teams. They finish their series on Friday. In Wednesday’s win, JT Wright and Ryan Christiansen each had home runs.
