Big Ten decision

I still think there is so much up in the air right now. This is a best case scenario in my book. Uggh!

Conference games only in 2020. If there is a 2020.

Having grown up 35 minutes south of THE OSU Horseshoe and drank...no, swam and baptized in the scarlet and grey kool aid of THE Buckeyes I can attest to the importance of matchup with the detested blue and maíze of the North, the Michigan Wolverines.
For Central Ohio, every year that game holds as much anticipation as lying in bed the night before Christmas thinking about the fat red man is going to leave you under the tree in the living room OR the stomach growling urgency of what the mommas and grandma are creating out there in the steamy kitchen 1 hour before the whole family swarms the table for The annual Thanksgiving feast.
Exactly 1 hour after last year's matchup, win or lose, revenge or repeat, thoughts of the next clash start building up and forward like magma deep in an active volcano.
The Ohioan meaning of life starts with Genesis and ends in the annual Buckeye-Wolverine slam dance. I can guarantee if this game does not happen in November you better have the National Guard on alert.

Crete gets a new moniker: “Crete-orator.” But don’t get too big of a head over it or you know who will take away your cafeteria closet key which gives access to the year old cheez-whiz bags for those tasty nachos. Going to have to avoid raiding that, at least a year(?), bunkering down. Besides, how are the visiting parents going to experience “Darn, hot dogs are gone before the half?...okay, I’ll go with the nachos. Is that real cheese?”

I would say that his description of the Red-Blue/Gold affliction eclipses that of The Farm 80’s version of clipping a Beamer while “borrowing” a double-decker (you know what color they are) in the fourth of a drubbing....

I remember my first Fall at Cal going to the Big Game Rally at the Greek Amp where there were more pallets for the the Bug Burn than students in the seats. I learn to appreciate the Tradition of the Old Blues over worrying about numbers of fans.
Sort of like learning to savor Tequila
Herradura Selección Suprema versus slamming shots of Jose Cuervo bought on sale from the liquor store exactly 1 mile and 1 block beyond Cal's dry zone limits.

I went to graduate school at Cal. Small world. My dad indoctrinated me into all things Stanford. The big game was always a bit schizophrenic for me. I rooted for Sanford.

Indoctrinated Crete jr like a Spanish bull in the Plaza de Toros to hate all things red as he was growing up on Sproul plaza. But when he was recruited by the Cardinal I agreed to don a red shirt and ball cap if they agreed to foot the bill for his education....... fortunately he chose elsewhere.

Thankful you rooted for George Sanford. Great show! I thought you might’ve meant Stanfurd.

That wasn’t Cuervo in the bottle...it was a Cuervo bottle; reloaded with Alcatel house or College Ave Liq.

Thank god players can only catch the Rona in non conference games. Nice it respects conference lines.
