This game *should* be a fairly easy one for the Cougars, but ya never know in league games…. Kids know each other and their games, coaches know each other and their tricks, etc. etc.

Cougs should win easily…. But still, the Cougs were down by 10 at the half here a couple years ago before hitting the afterburners in the 2nd half to win a close one…

Anywayyyyyy…. Right now, the Coug Frosh are taking care of business…. 42-24 late in the 3rd.

64-29 final, as the Cougs’ bench players got hot in the 4th quarter to close it out rather loudly.

There was a funny incident at the end of the 3rd…. An Acalanes guy took a halfcourt try, a second too late to count…. But what happened after was something I’ve never seen in the 5000+ games I’ve seen live. The shot was wayy too high, hit the top of the board and went straight up into all those cables and belts for raising the boards to the ceiling…. Bounced around up there for some five seconds, long enough for everyone to pretty much forget about it…. And then fell straight thru the hoop. By the time that happened, everyone was almost back to the benches for the quarter break. Got a *LOT* of laughs and cheers!

Interesting JV game so far…. Early going looked like the Cougs were well on the way to a blowout win, but Aca mounted a strong comeback to get within about 5…. But the Cougs closed out strong to go up 31-19 at halftime.

Cougs break up a pass, it goes out of bounds to the Cougs.

Aidan with a million moves… fakes, crossovers… drive to the hoops for a score at the buzzer! 18-11 after 1.

Aca sinks a 3 at the shot-clock buzzer. 30-18.

Diggy Mansour hits a corner 3…. 33-18.

Nice pass down low to Aca’s big for a bucket. 33-20.

Aidan hits Bennett for a 3… it goes! 36-20 at the half after a prayer by Aca falls short.

Finally Aca gets a score…. and he’s fouled… FT good. 43-23.

Of course, I say that, and he clanks a FT.2nd one good. 44-25.

Bergen drives…. quick but not big, he’s swatted…
