Apparently both teams were short a game on their slates, so CP frosh face Campo frosh now, and again on Feb. 6.

I forget which one counts for league, but here they are….

YV jv and varsity after..

Anyway…. CP leads early, 9-2. Cougs coach calls time to organize the mess…. 3:41 left 1st.

Cougs break pressure and score, stoppage due to an Injured CP player. 33-30 CP, player helped off…. 3:41 left.

Cougs rebound a miss, time out to avoid jump ball…. same score, 1:39 left. Cougs on own baseline.

CP steal, foul, 2 shots…. 1 of 2…. but Cougs can’t get possession…. CP ball up 2.

CP scores Cougs travel…. 38-34 CP. 49 seconds.

Missed CP FT, Cougs rebound, zoom down, a 3!! 38-37, CP ball their own end…. CP up 1. 36 seconds.

Cougs steal, charge…. but CP turns it over…. Cougs get 2 point-blank tries, no…out to Cougs. 10.4 left…. quite a finish for a frosh game…

38-37 CP, Cougs ball…

ugh, ugly turnover. 6.3 left, CP ball.

Foul, FT’s for CP…. nope, and lane violation CP…. long pass, wild shot, nope…. CP wins 38-37.

YV puts up a bit more fight than I expected, but the Cougs still dominate…. 39-11 at the half.

68-17 final….

On to the feature attraction, the 12-4 Cougars vs. the 9-7 Ygnacio Valley Wolves.
