Campo is BACK on the Hardwood, vs. CVC!

CVC is looking to recover from their upset loss to Monte Vista a couple nights ago, Campo is looking to regain their roll after a COVID pause stopped their undefeated season for about a week.

CVA is led in just about every category by Jeremiah Dargan with 19 ppg, 9 rpg, and 3.8 apg. Also 2.7 steals per game. Obviously, #25 is the guy the Cougs need to focus on. Joey Hawk and Jason Zimmer are adding 9 ppg each to the Ugly Eagles’ attack.

The big queston on the Cougs’ side is…. Will Aidan Mahaney be back from the hand injury? He’s had a slow start to this season due to injuries, but I thought the O’Dowd game was going to be his breakout game for 2021…. Not to be; he sliced up his hand after just 4 minutes.

Other big contributors for the Cougs are Emmanuel Callas and the Bennett brothers. And Max Weaver, too. It just seems that whenever the Cougs need some big plays, *somebody* steps in and does the work.

Anyway… the girls game is winding down now…. Cougs are down by 2 with 1:37 left.

Earlier the Cougs’ JV boys won fairly handily.

Now 42.4 seconds left…. Campo Girls have gotten back in front, 70-68.

CVC called a time out they didn’t have, apparently…. 2 FT’s for Campo both go…. but they travel on the possession.

CVC calls another time out… 4.9 seconds left and Campo has a pair of FT’s. I keep missing the name, but #22 of Campo has scored something like 43. And she’s at the line again. Clemens or Cummins, can’t hear for sure…. She ends up with 44.
