Campolindo vs Sutter

28-14 on a long drive after half. Sutter in deep trouble. After going down 14-0 Campo has scored 28 unanswered points.

The most points scored against Sutter this year was 15, likely against their 2nd string. CAMPO has lit Sutter's starters for 28 points. Don't think the Sutter defense is used to playing the entire game due to all this blowouts.

I'd like to see a four team Nor cal Championship with these four teams, winner take all.

(1) De La Salle vs. (4) Clayton Valley

(2) Folsom vs. (4) Camplindo

NCSF maybe not but the games would generate a lot of interest in Nor CAL.

1) the perennial power in De La Salle
2) the prennial SAC power
3) The DAVID of the group that just wins in CAMPO
4) the scandalous program that has lost 1 game in 2 years and is on probation.

A lot of story lines for sure.

Congrats to Campolindo!!! They earned that win and deserved that win last night. Sutter was able to take care of Fidelli, Flowers and Petite but they are so darn deep that 82 and 25 hurt them not to mention Stephens with 2 great throws. The way to beat them is to keep their offense on the side line. Just too many weapons and a QB that does just enough. Sutter plain and simple after the 2 quick scores just had too many 3 and outs. The defense spent a lot of the 2nd half on the field. Very good team and well coached. Good Luck to them in Carson.
Sutter will be back. Great programs just reload as they have since 2001. They have a 9-1 JV team meeting up with the 10-0 JV team from last year.

First and foremost I think Sutter needs to get Enterprise and Pleasant Valley on the schedule. The best teams in our section need to be playing eachother.

Great seasons by both teams. Campo's offense has a lot of very good players. lots of penalties in this game, especially holding...made it hard to watch at times. Refs controlled the tempo of the game after the first quarter.

defensively, campo played a high safety to take away the deep ball and sutter had a hard time taking advantage of the middle of the field with their passing game. Receivers would be open early, but most of the plays were roll outs and receiver would be covered by the time the QB was able to throw.

Sutter's Running back really impressed me as did Campo's safety (#4 i believe).

Newspaper reported there may be more bowl divisions next year...anyone know if this is true? just an interesting side note...Sutter cbed 681 and Campo 1300+ (aptos is also 1300+).

I agree that Enterprise, Chico, Pleasant Valley and Sutter should be on each other's schedule. Under the current system it seems only one North Section team gets into the regionals. I think the pressure is on the DI schools to make this happen.

I'd love to see the top teams in the Northern Section play each other. It boosts up the teams that are very good and it doesn't really hurt a team's playoff chances.

farmair3: No disrespect to Sutter as they played hard and did shut down Petite and Fadelli, but in no way did they shut down Flower. 166 yards on 6 catches with a dislocated shoulder... The kid is a baller. No doubt that Sutters defense was better and more challenging then most of the other teams that campo has faced this year, but 166 yards is pretty impressive. I wouldn't call that being held or shut down.

This game came down to Campos defense in the last three quarters. Offense is always there but holding Sutter to 0 points in the last 24-26 minutes of play is impressive. Linebackers (Shurtz, Remotto and Hull) with some big hits and Tiger Garcia is always underrated. 6 2 165 or 170, not the biggest but fearless. 2 interceptions, another one called back, one that he definitely would have had if it wasn't for Sutters receiver tackling him before he could even catch it(pass interference), and don't forget his 5-6 deflections and 4-5 tackles on crucial third downs, seemingly a part of every play on defense..

Regardless though, great season and an exciting game, look forward to watching the state game.

Paul14 What date is open for Aptos. Sutter is very interested.. As far as Enterprise goes we just did a 2 year deal with them and went 1 and 1. Does Aptos have a freshman team??? PV and Chico will be the cream of the crop in D2 NS. Enterprise's run which has been an awesome one is probably on the downward side. I am very familiar with their lower levels.
As far as my Flowers comment it was more about keeping him and the others out of the end zone which they did except for a short goal line T D by Fidelli.
I just watched the game and not for an excuse but the officiating was horrid!!! One of the worst this season in one of the biggest games.
The atmosphere that night was unbelievable!!!!! Both student sections were crazy!! Sutter had their stands full an hour and a half before the game started and filled a quarter of Campos side. Two really good teams with really good programs and a fan base to boot. Again best of luck to Campo. You deserve to be there

Seems like Aptos had a strong senior class this year. Are they going to reload for next year? I am looking forward to watching them play against Palma.

enterprise wont be overwhelming with these super studs but they will be just fine, they have plenty of skilled players and the line gets good and big again next year. My money is on a pv vs ehs rematch in the final and have no reason to think why enterprise wont have a shot at it. Next year will be the first year in about 5 years chico doesnt have the bet qb in the section so we will see how that goes.

Far Northern, Please don't take my comment wrong or disrespectful towards the Hornets. They have had a great run.

As far as I know, the prelim Aptos schedule is something like Salinas, Bellarmine, Mitty, Palma.

And I think week 5 is open but that is a very early schedule and some of those may not be final.

Chico did not have the best QB in the section this year!!! We will see when all sections come out.
Mariner FB I do know Sutter has week 5 filled. The Head Coach is working on next years schedule already. I know Justin Sienna bowed out as did El Cerrito.

i just confirmed aptos has a opening on 10/2 and will travel. Sutter or any northern teams or north coast teams interested?

Aptos will be battle tested after playing - Salinas, Mitty, Bellarmine and Palma.

you can make your case for post certainly but if you welch almost matched his numbers other than tds and played 3 less games. not to mention he played in a higher division against much better teams with much less of a supporting cast. I like the post kid but welch is bar none the best qb to play around here in a long time.
