Four CCS public school programs are still alive in the CIF NorCal playoffs: M-A in D3, HMB and Mills in D4 and Summit Shasta in D5. All are located in San Mateo County. The first three represent the PAL Bay (A) Division. Summit Shasta is a No.1 seed. HMB is a No.2 seed. Those two appear to have the best shots at playing for a NorCal title. No CCS public has played for a NorCal crown in 33 years (Monta Vista won in D1, then lost in the CIF finale). The top 2025 CCS public, Los Gatos, played in D2 and flamed out badly in Round One Tuesday. There had been relatively high hopes for them. It was not to be.
