Milpitas (10-3) at Campolindo-Moraga (13-1): Milpitas, making its first post-section appearance, is led by Cros Chavez(1,151 yards, 10.7 yards per carry, 18 TDs) and sophomore Tariq Bracy (1,093 yards rushing/receiving, 15 TDs). Defending D3 state champ Campo features junior QB Jacob Westphal (2,409 yards, 29 TDs), WR/DB Max Flower (49 catches, 850 yards, 14 TDs) and Yale-bound lineman Sterling Strother (6-5, 255). Winner plays Oceanside (9-4) or La Mirada (11-3).

Clayton Valley Charter (12-1) at Oak Grove-San Jose (11-2): Injury-plagued Clayton Valley has won 12 straight after beating Concord 23-22 in NCS final; Oak Grove (11 straight wins) is peaking following three consecutive wins over WCAL foes. Injuries forced Ray Jackson (2,127 yards, 20 TDs) to be CVC’s QB. Oak Grove is led by Rashaan Fontenette (2,468 yards, 36 total TDs), “the best athlete we’ve seen all year,” said CVC coach Tim Murphy. Winner plays Narbonne-Harbor City (12-2) or Ridgeview-Bakersfield (13-0).

St. Francis-Mountain View (11-2) vs. Pleasant Valley-Chico (12-0) at Harrison Stadium-Oroville: The hosts, the alma mater of Aaron Rodgers, have a balanced offense (165 yards passing per game, 181 running) and a strong defense. RBJordan Cooley has rushed for 1,049 yards. St. Francis is led by RB tandem of Cyrus Habibi-Likio and Lutoviko Ahoia, who have combined for 2,249 rushing yards, 24 TDs. Winner plays Calabasas (13-1) or Citrus Hill-Perris (12-2).

McClymonds-Oakland (12-0) vs. Sacred Heart Prep-Atherton (10-3) at Independence High-San Jose: First meeting between the two. McClymonds hasn’t lost since 2013 regional final at Central Catholic 17-14, a span of 24 games. The Warriors are led by a rugged defense, active secondary and junior RB Jerrell Alberty, the OAL Player of the Year. SHP is led by third-year starting QB Mason Randall (2,434 yards, 23 TDs) and rushers Lapitu Mahoni (1,555 rushing yards, 26 TDs) and Isoa Moimoi (885, 14). Winner plays Rancho Bernardo-San Diego (11-2) or Oak Hills-Hesperia (9-5).
