Congrats to Weston Ranch at the D2 level. It was a good game and good to see a Valley team doing well. D2 was a good division for them to play in, it was more of there talent caliber. Congrats to Coaches , players, school and community. One more Cougars, bring it home. Our local communities are pulling for you, Manteca, Stockton, Lodi, Tracy, Ripon. Modesto. Keep representing. I recall someone on here saying the weston ranch coach was awful and his teams were not good teams.
I recall someone saying Weston Ranch got out played and out coached during a game. Keeping it real
They are good Struggled early. A lot of early losese. BUT started to play well down the stretch. The bball season is a grind.
WR had SEVERAL games only suiting up 8 people. IF you are good its from October to March. NOT INCLUDING open gyms workouts, summer league There are a lot of ups and downs. High points and low points in season.

So who would you move down? Also what is the basis of your movement of teams? What about Granada?
I don't know who I would move down but I do think WR got dogged out due to a tough scheduled and was underestimated when they did the seeding. I am not at all surprised that they are rolling through D2
I think D2 was a pretty good placement for Weston Ranch. A bubble team for the Top 20.
I think you can argue them as D1 too.

They were an open team last year with much of the roster back. So getting placed in D2 as a big school is a gift.
looks like Weston Ranch enrollment in 18-19 was 1,191 kids so...batting about .100 on the season here

You have a real dislike for WR that’s obvious! After they WIN the D2 state title Representing Northern California just congratulate WR nothing special just a simple congratulations.
Making to a state championship should be a tiered discussion. Open is the best of the best. D1 are the good teams. D2 is solid. D3 is ok and everything else is meh. The games are compelling and entertaining because the teams are of a similar level, not because they are good teams necessarily. WR had a decent year but had almost no good wins. They have gone on a run and should be commended for the way they rebounded. They are borderline too 20 team in NorCal. That’s nothing to sneeze but I won’t pretend that are a really good team because they ended their season later than other teams.
So who should have been the top seed? DLS? It’s easy to say now that since they beat Granada in the finals, but Granada had a better record and beat DLS head to head.
