jayson tatum played at chaminade.De La Salle defeated Chaminade-St. Louis last night and takes on Harvard-Westlake in tonight's Hoophall title game.
Gonna hold you to this. DLS is well coached. So well coached they play in events like this. We shall see what happens. But the real fact is that they take on such a challenge. What do they got one D1 player who is actually a better baseball playerHW will win by double digits
Just a different level of ball

Why should they play prep schools. You can’t be serious. Jason Kidd, Aaron Gordon, Gary Payton, Brian Shaw, I could rattle off many. Why would they benefit from prep schools. That’s 500mil sitting there. You really pump the prep schools. Many don’t need itDLS and Riordan may run NorCal. But I think Boscos and HW are just on different levels.
If the CIF allowed Public and Private to play Prep Schools, we could have some seriously good matchups. Prolific vs Bosco or Prolific vs HW, but CIF has ruined any potential of that.
I think a team that could compete, probably not beat but compete with HW and Bosco would be St Joes Santa Maria, but they should be in SoCal not NorCal.
You know you bring this motor school stuff up all the time. Provide us a list of what has been produced.DLS and Riordan may run NorCal. But I think Boscos and HW are just on different levels.

Yeah that pony has been beaten to death. Josh Jackson I think. Meh.. Didn't do much. Don't need the prep schools at all. Don't fill any need if you ask me. You telling me you aren't going to get that at Harvard Westlake, SJB, Notre Dame SO... or hell the #1 team in the nation is a public school in LA. I have zero desire to watch any of that either. Zero. I was highly entertained watching good HS hoops over at Folsom this weekend. Plenty of talented kids. You know you bring this motor school stuff up all the time. Provide us a list of what has been produced.
Their are way more NBA players from the SF Bay Area than any damn prep school in this state that has had way better careers.
Put your list together. I will give you Jalen Green. What happened to the kid rhat went to Kansas.
Cause I could start rattling off many high school names.
You bringing up people from 20 years isn't all that beneficial. Times have changed, the OAL has changed. Inner city Oakland has changed. Why should they play prep schools. You can’t be serious. Nobody on here is talking about a #2 option on his Folsom HS team who is looking like the rookie of the year in the NBA for Memphis. jaylen Wells!! He was destroying folks at Sonoma State ! If you know anything about cosssaks ball that is a far cry from the private plane rides at Monte Verde and IMG.
If you are good.... They will find you. Or if you aren't and your name is bronny or bryce they will find you as well.
Good point but Wells wasn’t #2 option sr yearYeah that pony has been beaten to death. Josh Jackson I think. Meh.. Didn't do much. Don't need the prep schools at all. Ankle with all due respect, I believe once kids start bouncing around it’s not the best thing. Players have plenty of time to showcase their skills during AAU, especially the top ones. Gilbert Arenas left his kid at the school he is at cause he wants him to be double and triple teamed and learn to work out it. His kid is a stud. Gilbert played that card rightEastvale is not los angeles city or county.

you dont have to say with all due respect.. i dont have any feelings to get hurt... its the internet...Ankle with all due respect, I believe once kids start bouncing around it’s not the best thing. All due respect means I respect what you say. But come on man you bring up Maine for Christs sakes. Name the best players ever out the bay and damn near none ever transferred. The top transfer local that comes to mind and did a second time cause he was told he wouldn’t play was Lillard. I have always been a guy to say if you good enough you will be found. And the AAU circuit does its job as well. So as we speak about the power of the internet, the power of AAU is big as well. I mean let’s look at the guys who did leave to prep schools out of the bay and didn’t ever sit on an nba bench in the regular season.you dont have to say with all due respect.. i dont have any feelings to get hurt... its the internet...
kids have bounced around since the beginning of time. their just wasnt instagram or twitter to announce it on.
cooper flagg left maine where he would have been the best player ever to go to montverde to get better. he knew playing vs maine comp wasnt going to get him nba ready like playing the schedule montverde does.
the end justifies the means
The internet and aau has made it a lot easier to get a scholarship for the local fellas. All due respect means I respect what you say. But come on man you bring up Maine for Christs sakes. Prolific sent 7 and probably more off 1 team could years ago.I'd be curious to know how many players on any given roster of a Prep School has gone on to D1/Pro? I'm going on the assumption that all these players were uber talented and had NBA/Pro potential and that is why they went the Prep School route. I understand only 1% of HS players move on to D1 and does that include players at Prep Schools? Just throwing this out there for discussion.
There are 364 Division 1 teams across 31 conferences. That means there are approximately 5,460 Division 1 players for the 24-25 season. Is there any data source that indicates how many of those 5,460 players went to prep school vs public school vs private school (i.e. Catholic)?Prolific sent 7 and probably more off 1 team could years ago.
Class of 2024 top 25 recruits
11 prep school
3 public school
Class of 2025 top 25 recruits
12 prep school
7 public school
It's fluid... too many go 2 of the 3 in their high school career. There are 364 Division 1 teams across 31 conferences.
