West Campus and Folsom should be very interesting game! I especially like the match-up of the 2 little point guards, Gallegos for Folsom and Rones for West Campus. Both are the engines for their respective teams and hopefully these 2 will be matched up head to head. Both have great motors, good shooters, very quick...I'd be surprised if either of these girls came off the floor tonight. Folsom will have height advantage but West Campus will have more speed and athleticism. Good tests to see where these teams stand early in the season.Good semi-finals. McClatchy is the favorite but all four have standing of being good to very good programs in the area
Folsom is better than Antelope IMO. GallegosSaturday results
Championship game:
Folsom beat McClatchy to win championship
(score not posted)
3rd place: West Campus 53, Davis 42
Friday results
Folsom 45, West Campus 44
McClatchy 68, Davis 27
Looks like Folsom is the 2nd best team in the Sacramento metro area, behind Antelope. Also, Christian Brothers can make a case in the top 5 of the Sacramento metro area.
Christian Brothers 36, Edison (Stockton) 35
at Edison High Tournament, Saturday night.
Only time will tell but when Antelope tried to schedule them Folsom couldn’t make room for them on there schedule but only time will tell.Folsom is better than Antelope IMO. GallegosSaturday results

Is the truth. Shooters in spades and SIZE.
Folsom
McClatchy
West
Antelope
Sac High
Are the top 5
Both super talented and Antelope may be able to shoot them out of that zone. No denying that for now Folsom has the better resume. December will sort out a lot of these questions.Only time will tell but when Antelope tried to schedule them Folsom couldn’t make room for them on there schedule but only time will tell.
Yah, probably not quite at that level. Mejia is D1 talent, but will really need help from her supporting teammates. They have some good pieces there, but not quite enough to compete with the very top teams. Last year, they surprised some teams, this year they wont be able to do that.Bradshaw Christian fooled me ... they did not show well at La Jolla Country Day, going 1-3.
feally good analysis here though im surprised you havd CB over West Campus.well, my pre-season Top 10 already changed after 1st weekend, LOL!
This is my original Top 10...
1. Antelope
2. Bear Creek
3. McClatchy
4. Sac
5. Bradshaw Christian
6. Folsom
7. Whitney
8. Christian Brothers
9. Cosumnes Oaks
10. St Francis
Now new Top 10...
1. Antelope-this team will be difficult to beat. Tough defensively, quick, fast, good ball handlers, good shooters, and well coached. Plus, they will most likely have the best player on the court in most games. They shoot a lot of 3s though, so could be beaten with an off game if shots aren't falling.
2. Bear Creek-keeping them at 2 for now.
3. Folsom-moving Folsom up to 3 after beating McClatchy Saturday. After the loss of Forbes, Hanna Beckman's time to step up. Recent signee with UC San Diego- I didn't realize she can handle the ball so well and play defense like that. With Charity and her, very good back-court to go with their size and bulk down low. Very well coached also, after going down 19-6 vs McClatchy, Folsom figured out a way to come back and win this game with defense and intelligence.
4. McClatchy-with Lowery and Hall, they probably have the best 2 player tandem in the City. But without Fermil (I hear might be out for the season?), they don't have a deep bench and need some outside shooters. I wouldn't be surprised though if they compete and surprise a team like Clovis West this weekend. Last year, beat Sac twice and beat very good Sierra Canyon team, then also lost to Edison twice. Could be same kind of results this season with close games.
5. Sac
6. Bradshaw Christian
7. Christian Brothers-moving CB up to 7 after winning Edison tourney.
8. Edison-moving Edison up to 8 after losing to CB by 1. Although they were up most of the game and couldn't close it out.
9. Cosumnes Oaks-after 2 opening losses, then 2 pretty good wins at Cardinal Newman tournament. Even their loss against BOD wasnt bad loss. With new coach, they don't have quite the same identity. But they do have some good talent.
10. Elk Grove-after giving Antelope all they can handle, moving EG into the top 10. They have some good young talent and new coaching staff this year as well. I am interested to see this team play.

Tiger, you might be right on this one but we will see how things play out. Not sure how much you know about Christian Brothers, but this is an interesting team this season, it looks like they have gone through major changes from last season. Not sure why, but they lost several players from last year that would be contributors this season. Juniel moved out of state, Sunada and Pritchard both not playing, I heard Griffin transferred. That is 4 players that I believe could be getting some major minutes. Instead they are starting 2 freshman guards that I hear are very good in Cooper and Allen. This will be Chance and Bria's team this year, and winning the Edison tournament is a good start of their season. By looking at the box score, they outscored St Francis 18-2 in 4th quarter to win that game and then outscored Edison 12-3 in 4th quarter to win championship game. And even in St Marys Albany game, almost came back to win that game in 4th. They will probably have their ups and downs, and I'm interested to see how they do against Cosumnes Oaks in the coming weeks. Maybe someone who watched their games at Edison tournament can provide some insight to how this team is outscoring their opponents so big in 4th quarter...feally good analysis here though im surprised you havd CB over West Campus.
Yeah I like Lincoln a lot. Lou is a helluva player. I think they should have the edge against a scrappy Sac High team tonight.Another team I am interested to see how they look is Lincoln of Stockton. I don't want to forget about this team and am curious to see how they do against Sac High tonight. Taylor Low is one of my favorite point guards and isn't afraid of anyone. They have twin towers down low with Cabuena who is 6'1 sophomore and new freshman 6'2 Shelton. Those who have seen Shelton play know that this girl can be difference maker already. Very smart player that can shoot, handle, incredible passer. I think someone needs to start a post about the top freshman in the area, Shelton will be on that list.
Some insights here. CB is in transition right now with the departure of Coach Ron and a couple of other issues that I wont get into here. There's a 5th transfer(Sophmore Kimania Griffin) who went to McClatchy. They still have some good talent, a good coach in Foster and I do like freshman Carli Cooper who's a pretty offensive player. Again December will tell us alot about these teams. I believe they have Mitty on Saturday. If they can keep it within 20 I'll be impressed.Tiger, you might be right on this one but we will see how things play out. Very good opening night home win for Sac High against Lincoln. This year Sac High has 4 very good seniors that are 4-year varsity players in Walters, Avent, Brown and McMillan. This year is their year for success...should be very good season for them. Think if Blount and Dillard hadn't of transferred out! And what if Amaya Oliver decided to play at Sac! This team could have been loaded and scary for anyone to play.Sac High beat Lincoln-Stockton 53-44
