Folsom 28 DLS 27. FINAL!!!! STUNNER!!!!

You know I watch all these debates, and the word that has made me laugh the most is resume. I don’t know about any of you all, but a resume say for a job reflects years of what may be and what may not be.

We can debate DLS, Serra, Folsom, and a host of other schools and who belongs where and what. People that hate DLS or love to see them lose think those that support them are DLS fans. Personally myself I am a WCAL guy first, so to see a DLS alum who has busted his tail at Serra for many years play the biggest dog of them all, squeak a win or lose by 40, is resume building at its finest.

Which when it comes to DLS, how can anyone use the word resume.

On the football field they have hosted and traveled and played teams from Washington, Ohio, New Jersey, Florida, Texas, South Carolina, Washington DC, Nevada, and a few others. RESUME, you want to use the word RESUME.

And let’s not talk basketball, during the Allocco era in which not one guy made the NBA, and very few played at the big college basketball programs.

But they still have played teams from New York, Hawaii, Oregon, Louisiana, and several other states. And for Christ’s sakes are the only team to ever play Oak Hill Academy, not once, but twice. I don’t know of any other team in nor cal outside or prolific prep that has been on the same court as Oak Hill.

Point is the athletic director and every coach below has taken on almost every damn challenge. During the preseason locally they have scheduled football teams with tremendous reputation and history.

So in my opinion people most that support DLS on this board don’t pull out green and white poms poms, WE respect the real resume. The resume that speaks volumes. The resume if they call IMG or SFA or SFA calls them, the resume that shows they have played in top basketball preseason tournaments, that RESUME is why is why the games get scheduled.

Ain’t no damn WCAL team close to it, Folsom, Grant, Bishop O’Dowd, and many schools that have had runs here and there, come close combined to the RESUME DLS has built over the years in both sports.

Tonight they are most likely heavily favored. The IMG’s and SFA’s of the world ain’t looking at this game for future preseasons. That’s fact. No disrespect to Folsom, but hey I seen you guys played this Folsom team(that one says is the best public school in California in the last 10 years) and are now 7-0, that’s not how the big boys decide we take on all challenges. That’s a blip on the resume. If it is even discussed.

Resumes are built over time, not because finally someone in Northern California(WCAL) finally beat them.
