Granada beats San Ramon Valley 3-1

The game was scoreless through four innings. Granada scored two runs in the fifth and one in the sixth. San Ramon Valley scored its run in the top of the sixth.

Granada got 4.2 shutout innings from Jason Krakoski in giving up two hits and four walks against eight strikeouts. Colin Johnston went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI.

San Ramon Valley got a double from Chase Salisbury.

Petaluma beat Casa 2-1. Casa has faded a bit recently. Not sure what’s going on there. Going into the year figured they were number 2 Northbay team behind Newman.

But the reality is Newman could be the only “great” team this year. But there is probably 8-12 really good and solid North bay teams (Windsor, Justin, Petaluma, MCAL top 6-7 are very good). Rancho, Sonoma and Ukiah are kinda hard to gauge, but I think they are decent and Sonoma could surprise the WVAL, but like the NBL and MCAL with teams knocking each other off weekly, I see them taking a few L’s in league. Same with Ukiak who’s schedule is pretty soft so far.
