Last night Prolific Prep (Napa) and Utah Prep (Hurricane) put on one of the greatest high school basketball games of all time.

AJ Dybantsa the number 1 prospect had 49 points. Watching him play is just something else. He’s like KD, but with hints of Anthony Davis’ length and ability to affect the boards

Oh 49 wasn’t the high scorer, that would be the number 2 prospect Darryn Peterson who had a whopping 58 points including the game winning 3 point shot down 2. He reminds of a SGA with his ability to score, but I think he has a chance to be better. Which is insane to say, but DP is different.

I know some of you are against Prep school basketball, but sit down, watch this game and just enjoy basketball poetry in motion.

19-20 year olds are not high school age…at least not when I attended…lol.
The California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) has age restrictions for high school sports. Students must be under 19 years old on September 1 of the school year to participate in sports.

Darryn literally turned 18 less than a month ago. When he started at Prolific for the first couple of months he was 17.

Dybantsa the exact same thing. Actually Dybantsa was in 2026 and he reclassed into a better class, because that is how good he is.

Look if your going to talk, go ahead and talk, but your a joke if you think all of the kids are 19. When DP and AJ turn 19 they will be getting drafted in the top 3 or higher of the 2026 draft. That’s what those two will be doing at 19

Quite the contrary the grind session actually has 8th graders playing and no 5th years are allowed. It’s a tall task for any 8th grader, but no competition is better in America right now! By the time those 8th graders become juniors and seniors they are a lot more well positioned for a college scholarship/s offer.

Was referring to when I was in high school, back in late 80’s, it was uncommon to have a 19 year old on your high school team….Now it’s the norm. Was not considered high school age back then.

And lets be real….some of these kids are 20-21 year olds coming in from these other countries, especially at these prep schools.
