Hope everyone who came had a great time
It felt like having 800 people at a family reunion who are all hoop junkies.
That’s the feeling I get every year at the GIBT.

The GIBT Queen was crowned. Some folks had never seen that and smiled, laughed and enjoyed the time warp to Indiana 1950.

Most important the kids had fun doing other activities besides hoops.

We all know Jordan Brown is a game changer. Salesian has great press, and trap system. But without Tyrell Roberts running the point and continuously beat the press and trap, It’s a different game.

Back to Salesian. I have to think far back to remember a team with so many quality guards. I mean take your pick. We had trouble deciding which ones go on the all tourney team.

Love what Tom Costello has done with his team this year. A tough out for anyone.

Mitty, well coached, and they have this toughness patina about them. Like the badass catholic kids I knew as a kid in Brooklyn.

Capitol is a team in parts, still waiting for players to find there spots. I want to see how they fit the big man in, later this month.

Met coach’s and people from teams who played in the tournament ten, twenty, thirty years ago. Like a giant homecoming.

Have to throw in this last bit of trivia.

All time 3-day total leading scorer is Jay Olsen from Gridley.

Year 1968- 105 points - No three point line :)

Here’s wishing you great hoops
