I'm still trying to understand why there was an article done on Folsom about a win streak that excluded the 2 losses to DLS. I remember that thread and thought it was a joke to even talk about it on this board because a loss is a loss and it ridiculous to talk about any win streak other than a consecutive one and that is something Folsom did not have going for them until last year and it ended tonight.
I know every now and than the "NorCal win streak" held by DLS is brought up, but it's usually brought up to put down NorCal football instead of it being referred to as something impressive. Let's not forget that streak includes a couple ties so it's not completely unblemished and now that Central Section D1 is considered NorCal it actually means DLS has 2 NorCal losses in 2004 along with those ties.

as anoiying as g61 was, don't know how people could get so much joy out of seeing kids loose. I thought Folsom's schedule was ridiculous for someone ranked number 35 in the country, but Folsom did not make the rankings. Their schedule was as good as Bellarmine's if not better, and they had a much tougher road in the playoff. Hats off to the kids at Folsom on a heck of a season, they are a great team.
I'm convinced we have some of the best football in the country right here in our backyard. Not just DLS but the other programs like Folsom, Bellarmine, DO, Oak Ridge, Rocklin, Grant, Elk Grove, etc.

While I do agree that it would nice to see Folsom schedule their preseason more like Del Oro or even Granite Bay, it had zero to do with what happened last night.
First, it's not like CVC wasn't really good, especially before they lost their QB. And the last 6 weeks of the regular season was played against one of the toughest leagues in the State. Their early playoff road was soft, but they can't do anything about that.
This may be a little off topic from this thread, but who does Folsom play next year in non league?
CV in light of things was just OK. They had by definition a cupcake schedule and should have lost to Monta Vista. Then playoffs start they play more push overs and almost lose to Concord who turned the ball over 3 times and only lost by 1. Injuries aren't really a valid excuse even at QB position when QBs in system aren't asked to throw just run and you have a roster of 110+. There should be plenty of depth at every position.
Good question. I'd like to know myself. I'm already ready for next year haha

Yes OG isn't the type of team that gives CVC trouble they couldn't throw the football. Teams that have given CVC and these coaches problems are teams that throw. Besides a win over OG doesn't suddenly mean CVC played a tuff schedule.

You won't receive any argument from me regard their schedule, but OG was a quality team and maybe they played into cvc's strength, which is why the win was a convincing one. I hope they are able to make a good showing at the SBG's next week

No Adam my friend. I don't no G61 from a can of paint but one thing I do know and that is I don't approve of someone trying to out another poster. I had that happen to me on this board once and I starting doing a little research/detective work and found some things out real quick. Connected dots basically. I've been around for a long time and seen a lot and heard a lot. I'm good now and have no qualms with no one in my past. Life is good in the ATL. So I'll sit that right there.
