1) How does a team that loses in their quarterfinal sections get into norcals? and teams that lost in the championship do not?

2) If some of the seeding were to go off of rankings, how does a 29 ranked University or 53 ranked Campolindo not get into DI but Mitty ranked 122 gets put in D1?

How about University. If you add this year’s resume, roster(all starters 6’4” and above), best team in SF, their recent past history. They should of been at least D. 2. Maybe Coach Randy going public and blasting the system, through Mitch Stephens sfgate, paid off for them.

I give the 'Cats the City title this year IMO.
Crusaders have won 2 CCS D3 Titles in the last 3 years including last night if you count as the recent past. . Remember, Serra blasted Uni on a neutral court and Riordan split with the Padres this year. Still, you bring up a good point, some of the seedings do have you scratching your head on what was the CIF's thought process ...

You bring up a good point re CCS. Is that Riordan's fault? Monterey and SHC are good teams and SI played in the Open. If Maxpreps means anything, SI and Riordan are in the top 20 in D3-CA. Looking forward to how the new State Regional formats / division placement / seedings play out this year.
