I think wallace has 17. Had a 95 yd kick return as well. Newman is capable of putting up points in a hurry.

I gotta believe Wallace is going to have a few D1 suitors this offseason. Brookshire, Wallace, and Yamanoha are top 3 in the NBL MVP race and necessarily in that order. This being based on their teams strength of schedule compared to the rest of the league, impact they have on their teams, stats, and record. Mefford is close behind.

I do believe it. Watched 21-3 halftime lead against Benicia turn into 52-28 loss. Cardinal Newman game was lost from the kick off.

Yeah they are below average. Personally think a coaching change is way overdue. They do less with more every year. By all accounts Higgins is a great guy, just his teams don't produce.

The Carrillo athletic department overall is outstanding and their are athletes at that school. My daughter plays in the soccer program and the expectations and coaching blow her travel teams out of the water. Same with all their other sports, they produce (numerous league and section titles) and yet they have mediocrity at the marquee sport ever year. A below average squad.

Maria Carrillo has a Calpreps rating of 16. I wouldn't associate a Calpreps rating of 16 with below average. I'm trying to figure out what average is. Calpreps calls the Carrillo loss to Benicia a bad loss.

Edit. I guess average would be division dependent.

Carrillo really struggled against a pretty bad and banged up Casa squad on Friday night. Totally outplayed, but got a huge 99 KO return by Cole Martin (he did the same against Benicia he had a KO and punt return for TD's and was most of their offense that game).

I've seen them several times this year and just don't see them being a average team. The fact that they are 4-1 in league is more a reflection of how down the NBL is this year (the RE is really down overall this year).

MC soccer program (girls) is top 5 in the nation every year. Its ridiculous how good they are. But you are right. Something doesn't click in Hoops and Football. They are solid in baseball though.

For hoops, you have three private schools in a small area (MC, Branson, Marin Academy). I know that MC looses out on some of that talent because they go to the other two schools.

Gosh I'm going to almost sound like you-know-who, but people in Maria Carrillo's registration area have never heard of Marin Academy, only know Marin Catholic from a few games, and if they've heard of Branson at all it's only because the headmaster was busted in a hotel with drugs and a young lady. MC loses a lot of talent, esp. football and basketball, to Newman and a very small bit of talent to Sonoma Academy. MC does lose a few hoops players, both boys and girls, to other public schools via open enrollment because the programs don't inspire people. But that runs both ways as successful programs like soccer, volleyball, cross country and baseball have the opposite gravitational pull and cost Monty, Piner, and Rosa quite a few kids.

You guys are confusing things up here and I think the Legend started it. When most people think of MC=Marin Catholic, been that way for 60 + years. . Most people refer to Maria Carrillo as Carrillo.

I was referring to MC in Kentfield. Branson is located in Ross, Marin Academy in San Rafeal.
