Gonna be real interesting to see how this plays out. Here are my predictions (sure to be wrong):

1 - Bishop O'Dowd
2 - Las Lomas
3 - Alameda
4 - Winner of Montgomery/Windsor
5 - Moreau
6 - Loser of Montgomery/Windsor
7 - DeAnza
8 - Redwood
9 - Cardinal Newman
10 - Northgate
11 - Newark (avoids 1st round rematch w/ Moreau)
12 - Tamalpais
13 - San Lorenzo (avoids 1st round rematch w/ Moreau)
14 - Washington
15 - Mission San Jose
16 - Maria Carrillo

Don’t see Montgomery or Windsor getting ahead of Moreau. Moreau should get the 4 seed. Montgomery and Windsor strength of schedule is terrible both below 6! If Moreau gets a 5 seed they will go on the road and blow either team out.

Moreau #4. That 5th spot is most important. Gets them in Norcals after O'dowd goes Open

@Straight8 i agree very deep. Don’t see to many upset first round. I think semis will be Odowd, Las Lomas, Alameda, and Moreau. I would be a little nervous if I’m the 1 seed having to see Moreau in that semifinal game. They are long, athletic, and talented. Bunch of 6’4 6’5 guys that are interchangeable

Here’s my two cents on the rankings (using maxpreps as a guide):

1. Las Lomas
2. Bishop O’Dowd
3. Moreau Catholic
4. Alameda
5. Acalanes
6. Windsor
7. Newark Memorial
8. De Anza
9. Montgomery
10. Redwood
11. Cardinal Newman
12. Northgate
13. Tamalpais
14. Washington
15. San Lorenzo
16. Mission San Jose

I totally agree with how deep these rankings are but I think Tam and Redwood should be seeded higher considering some of their wins. Tam has beaten windsor and montgomery and is also playing in the MCAL championship tonight against probably the best D5 team in Branson. Redwood also beat montgomery in the preseason while also beating Vanden who is always considered a very good team. You also cant forget that run Tam made last year in a once again very deep D2.

D2 is loaded. I wouldn't look past any of the NBL teams. LL lost to Monty last year at home. Monty is better this year than last year. Newman played horrible and lost to LL this year by 10. The gap between most of these teams is very small with exception of BOD.

You’re missing Acalanes from your rankings which further creates a mix up in D2

Crap, you're right that I forgot Acalanes :(

My revised predictions:

1 - Bishop O'Dowd
2 - Las Lomas
3 - Alameda
4 - Windsor
5 - Moreau
6 - Montgomery
7 - Acalanes
8 - DeAnza
9 - Redwood
10 - Cardinal Newman
11 - Northgate
12 - Tamalpais
13 - Newark
14 - San Lorenzo
15 - Washington
16 - Mission San Jose (could see Maria Carrillo to avoid MVAL getting 3 of the last 4 bids here)

This is my attempt at a prediction. I think Moreau is likely the 3rd best team in this group, but I also remember the ridiculous seedings of last year, which is why I'm predicting this is the way it works out. I think they reward Windsor for winning the NBL playoffs as well as having beating CN and Monty on the road in the last couple of weeks (finishing strong) instead of Moreau dropping a home game to Logan (who will likely be a top 4 D1 team, FWIW) when they could have clinched the outright MVAL title on Friday after battling likely 13th seeded Newark to the final seconds (also on their home court) a few days earlier.

As for Norcal, let's remember that NCS sent 6 teams last year , so there's nothing special about being top 4 regardless of whether BOD gets the open call.
