CVC vs CP will meet in the second round, should be a good one, Teams split their season series 1-1….

Totally Agree!!…. Those both look like very dangerous games for DLS and Granada…. DLS’s second level pitching is suspect, but their offense can be rediculous!….

Alhambra didn’t pitch Cameron Millar (7-1, 0.11 ERA) and went with Keegan Murdock (1-4) against Livermore and lost 6-2 to end their season. Millar must be hurt?
Obviously the upset that jumps out is Rancho blasting Justin. Definitely surprised by that. No other major upsets.
The San Marin waxing of Novato was a surprise. Figured SM would win, but not like that. Earlier games were close.
Also St. Vincent now in D6 and out in first round. I know they were missing alot of key players from last year (transfers/kids not playing). But it was a very strong small school baseball school 1980’s-2010’s now definitely a football school.
Wow, I saw the score and was curious if Millar threw? The kid is a stud.
Must be hurt? You don't hold onto a ace who touches 95 in the playoffs unless he is hurt.
He went 6 innings last Thursday at Benicia, striking out 9 and allowing no earned runs. Can’t be facing an EBAL team that beat Granada and save your ace for round 2. I hope it’s nothing serious.
And Justin beat Rancho 11-3 earlier in the year. They were up 4-1 after 1 and then just fell apart, as Rancho jumped them for 6 in the 2nd.

That ends an incredible run by Granada as Nor Cal’s #1 team!…. Those kids won like 55 or so games over the last 2 years, Ended DLS’s 30 something game postseason winning streak for the NCS title and won the Nor Cal Region last year…. They also showed well in the USA baseball tournament this year with only 1 loss!….. Way to Rep Nor Cal!!!….

Exciting offensive game in Livermore just ended. Rancho Cotate put up 3 runs in the 7th to beat the Cowboys 12-10.
RC scored 4 in the 5th to go up 8-5, only to have Livermore score 3 to tie it up. RC got 1 in the 6th, then Livermore got 2 in the bottom to go up 10-9 going to the 7th. RC held Livermore in the 7th to move on to the semis next Wednesday at Tamalpais, a 1-0 winner today at San Marin.

Oh wow, missed that. I thought Corona was going to sweep the playoffs and regionals. I am looking for the SS Section allocation rules for Regional bids. It is possible they are done for the year since they lost in the semifinals.
I couldn't find the regional bid rules for the SS section for baseball. However, the CIF bluebook states that the SS section gets 20 team bids out of 9 divisions. Last year, SS D1 got 4 regional bids. So Corona could still be in the race for CIF's #1 position. Strangely, though. Corona won the 2024 SS D1 playoffs but opted out of the SoCal Regional playoffs. Orange Lutheran won the SoCal Regional D1 playoffs.
I’m not really shocked by this result. But what RSMC did to Crespi I think caught everyone by surprise. I didn’t think Crespi would lose, let alone get pummeled like that.
It seems like I’m SS D1 the Champion opts out of the Regional, that is how it has going so yes, there has usually been a semifinalist or 2 that go in….
Definitely shocked by that score!…. SM was a top ranked team to start the year but really struggled with 12 losses…. They were only 7-8 in league including losing 5 straight and getting swept by OLU!…. Credit to them, they really turned it around!….
Thought it would be Corona vs Crespi in the D1 final, but here we are with another TL matchup…. 🤣
