Timing seems odd. Hope he's ok. Promote a assistant for interim head coach for 2019 and see what he can do and then full search for head coach for 2020?
Going out on top, a lot of top guys moving on to the pros, sounds like perfect timing to me
By timing I meant start of the school year with fall practice around the corner. Not much time to do a search for a permanent successor. Certainly he as accomplished as much as you can as a college coach. By the way, they have plenty of talent returning. He didn't leave the cupboard bare.
by no means the cupboard is bare, but 3 guys in the top 37 and Heimlich moving on would affect any team
