Prolific Prep had two games out in the Bahamas this past weekend at the 1st GRIND SESSIONS Event.
In the first matchup, PP beat Maxpreps #11 ranked Conrad Academy (FL) 87-67. Conrad Academy included top 15 talent Austin Wiley (Auburn and team USA Gold Medalist) and #68 Luegentz Dort (Louisville and Canadian National team Silver Medalist). PP was up as much as 35 pts before emptying its bench at the end of the contest.
In the second game, PP beat last years GRIND SESSIONS National Champion Victory Rock Prep (FL) 93-72. PP was up 82-40 with 6 minutes to play, before emptying its bench. Gary Trent Jr had 37 pts (7-10 3's) on limited action. Abu Kigab also had 20 points.
Below is a great posting about Abu Kigab (filmed last fall). Abu has been on a terror this season, developing his game from a power forward last season, to a small forward this season. Abu is probably one of the most improved players in the country and showed it this past weekend with his lights out shooting ability. Abu recently committed to University of Oregon.
