My guesses. I think d1-d3 will all be battles won in the 4th. Should be very cold but dry weather in NorCal. Could see some temps in high 30’s.

I actually feel the SJS should do better, at least at the NorCal level. Feel that the CCS and NCS will not be as strong do to the changes to playoff structures in both sections, but we will see.

I totally agree that the SJS will represent very well at the NorCal level. I have concerns with all three sections at the State level. Folsom was damn near a shoe in. I don't believe any of the four teams left, MT, OR, SERRA or VC can get it done at the state level. If Serra had their starting QB I believe it would give us the best chance of winning state in that division. We shall see.

Yeah, they'll most likely face a trump'd up private from the SDS or SS with more speed and size.

We will see... Helix won the SD Open last weekend so they are in the Regional and are a Public School They did lose their Start RB who broke Reggie Bush's School Rushing Record this year...

There are 2 Up and Coming Privates in Sierra Canyon (D2) and Grace Bretheren (D3) that are still playing... Both these teams are really good as is Corona Del Mar (Public) (D3), who other then the big 2 (MD, SJB) could have the best offense in the State... It will be interesting to see what happens and what winners they put in D1AA and D1A....

Like you, I thought Serra with their #1 QB was going to be a team that would do serious damage in the SBG's... Who knows, they still might, what a great story that would be if those kids could pull it off with a #2 QB...

What always gives me hope for Nor Cal Teams in the SBG's is the Rocklin vs Servite game years ago.... Everyone thought Servite (Pac 5 Champ) was going to crush Rocklin and Rocklin played one of the best SBG's ever with a Back up QB and almost pulled the Upset...

Anything can happen in 1 game, that's what makes HSFB so Great!

Good post OC89. I thought about the same thing (Rocklin vs Servite) when you brought up the Serra back-up QB. lmao! Just like you, I can't wait to see the SBG match-ups. And to be honest with you, I can't wait for the NorCal Regional game between Central (Fresno) and the NorCal representative. I have a gut feeling that Oak Ridge would pose more of a threat to Central because of their running QB Lamson. Central defended DLS veer decently at times so I don't believe MT can beat them. I believe Centrals athletes will eventually overwhelm Valley Christian on both sides of the ball. Now if Serra was playing with their starting QB I would give them a slight edge over Central. I think that would be a high scoring game with the team that has the ball last winning.

I agree with you though, I think Oak Ridge with their QB is the best Matchup vs Central even over VC or Serra with their #2 QB... I don’t think either of those teams can score enough to keep up with Central....
