Two upsets or surprises tonight in Sacramento area girls basketball:

St. Francis (Sacramento) 60, Elk Grove 55
St. Francis (16-7, 9-1) takes over 1st place in the Delta league over Elk Grove (18-5, 8-2). Game was at St. Francis.
"RespectTheGame" said that Elk Grove was going to win their league last week.

Roseville 59, Antelope 34
Roseville (16-6, 8-1) ties for 1st place in the Capital Valley Conference league with Antelope (14-7, 8-1). Game was at Antelope.

Speed does kill but who said Elk Grove has speed. Brookside about to 6 deep and maybe 7 deep when playoffs start. Then you will see how speed kills. Hope to make to the Open and maybe another trip to Santa Rosa like 2 years go. Ranking changes as the Section playoffs move on. Right now with Clays Maxprep ranking Brookside is #3 SJS D1 section.

Clay is biased and easily bought. ELK Grove has speed! Up north you will be beat down like a red headed step child, speed kills but height prevails. Fast becomes slow but 6'3 stays 6'3

How would 6'3 slow down speed ? Luck Salesian was move up to D3 because there speed prevailed for years in D4. D4 NCS how be and easy win for CN now. When is the last time CN won a NCS championship?????

BROOKSIDE has speed and very physical team so to be 7 strong in the playoffs. We have height 6'2 that can shutdown defender and has speed!!!!!!
