With Serra now on CCS probation and banned from football playoffs in 2015 and 2016 (with an appeal pending), will CCS officials grant Serra football players transfers with immediate eligibility? It would seem only right and fair. Why penalize student-athletes who had nothing to do with Serra's administrative decision to bail on CCS playoffs in 2014 at the 11th hour?

How is this same scenario viewed by the NCAA when similar punishments are handed down?

Don't think that would fly in the eyes of the CCS...transfers cannot be athletically motivated per CCS guidelines. Besides I think the commish has it in for Serra and the WCAL.

Are you kidding? So they could win a section title somewhere? It's not like Serra won't play football. Some of you people are skewed the way you look at things. This is high school football and it's not that important.

Even if these penalties stand at the full extent (which I think is unlikely), Serra will still play a full 10-game schedule. They are in a really good league and have a very high profile non-league schedule. I believe they still have their series with DLS and Notre Dame of SoCal going. The kids at Serra can still win a league title and have exposure for college recruiting, probably more so than at many other schools. I would be very surprised if Serra had transfers as a result.

I doubt Serra loses any current players due to the ruling. The logistics of a high school kid transferring to another school with their parents' schedule/transportation/leaving friends etc is a HUGE change/decision compared to a college player.
