Folsom got a scare against Oak Ridge and i think they will be ready to play against sheldon. Forbes needs to be more aggressive offensively for them to be in this game. But home game for Sheldon and too many weapons. I think they prevail.

Should be some good games on Wednesday night. Grant definitely could pull off an upset over Antelope and CC could shock MC with the way they have been playing... Would be cool to see Folsom take down mighty Sheldon but I think Sheldon will outlast them at home. Should check out D3/D4 some good hoops being played... Rio Americano in the semis for the first time in about a decade after shocking Vanden.. Placer is a well coached team with one of the best guards in the area in Kai Huntsberry..

I've seen the top 2 seeds(Colfax and Argonaut) in D5 play and they are both extremely solid and well rounded teams. IMO about as well rounded as your going to get from small public schools. Argonaut is strong defensively and likes to push the ball. They defend the full length of the court and can shoot 3's. They consistently score in the 70's and into the 80's. Colfax is led by a 6'5" senior named O'Keefe(coach's son). He's a bull in the paint and can shoot 3's. He's also and all state TE and I believe he has a partial offer to UC Davis to play football. Finals of this division should be the 1 and 2 seed, Argonaut and Colfax with the finals being a great game from 2 small schools this weekend.

Looked liked I wasn't too far off. Folsom overcame an 18 pt first half deficit to send game into OT before the Huskies held them off. Modesto Christian was down to a very good CC team but too many weapons for MC.

MY predictions for SJS

MC over Sheldon 63-61 (the 2 best teams got here but I think MC sneaks by in a great matchup.)

Been a fan of Grants for awhile now. They are big, young, and talented.

No better place to be than in a gym with this crappy weather.

Nice call Larry. I watched the Sheldon-Folsom game and was very entertained. Hadnt seen Sheldon this year but they are scary good. Have to say for Folsom though, is anyone more fun to watch in Norcal than Elijah Gallegos? Seen a lot of him over the year and the kid never fails to amaze me.

Sheldon-MC should be awesome.

Gallegos is awesome. I mean what heart on that kid. He's 5'5 maybe? You can't dig yourself a hole like that and expect to beat sheldon. Sheldon is just so deep. There 2nd team would be a top 10 SJS team. Forbes is the kid I can't understand. Love his defense and how hard he plays but offensively he is very raw. Has a hard time scoring. Big upside but needs to spend a lot of time shooting.

Larry That 2nd team consists of 4 sophomores. Add that with Last night player of game Kaito Williams and PG Justin Nguyen and the Huskies should keep rolling next year. Only 4 seniors on a deep squad.

You guys have a good team Heat. Very deep. Practices must be brutally competitive because the next person is ready to take your job. Should be a great finals. Its the SJS year I believe.
