Current SJS D4 Projected Seeds:

Colfax is division 6 but will have to play division 5 if they win the PVL. Their enrollment is just under 600

I believe Oakdale and Rio Linda should be in D3,they are both that good even if young as is Oakdale’s case.The mustangs are still a threat now and will be even better next yr....they should be D3,they are very well coached and competitive even in rebuilding yrs.and same goes for Rio Linda that’s just my opinion that’s all.Oakdale and Rio Linda in D4 spells trouble for others.....so get them out in case my Hillmen drop dn (that was a joke rocknrolus,lmao)and Placer’s enrollment puts them in D4,maybe not this yr because they are a pretty decent team and looks like they will share or outright win new league....but next yr.....oh yeah D4 for sure.Placer in this new D3 league and having smallest enrollment helps them all around,helps them as they compete every week vs bigger and more athletic teams and will force them to fight to qualify for a playoff spot.....this will be good for Placer....IMHO.

I'm not really getting how Vista del Lago ends up in D4 when their enrollment puts them in D2 for girls' volleyball playoffs, and listed in the D3 column for football. Different sports, I guess, but a head scratcher.

No inside information but from watching all levels of Oakdale football most likely Oakdale will have a Sophomore starting QB. No backup QB varsity this year. JV QB is a freshman starting at QB. I sat with his parents at one of the games. The kid looks like a Junior high kid hasn't even started shaving skinny kid. But his parents are big people not fat big just big. So he has room to grow. The JV team throws the ball really well. One of my friends grandkid plays on JV team the kid has the best hands on an Oakdale kid for many years. On JV he plays everywhere free safety on D RB on O. On all the the kicking teams. Punter, kick returner on kickoff. Merzon likes to platoon so not sure where he will play O or D. His grandfather and are trying to figure out how fast he is. He has long strides so he doesn't look that fast but pulls away in the open field. He didn't start playing football till high school. Before HS he was a drummer in several rock band. After some more experience he could end up a good DB.

Oakdale still has a chance to be moved to D3 for playoffs. It's a very slim chance, but still a chance. Blackhat said, if Oakdale beats CC ( it would take a miracle) by 6 or more they go to D3 for playoffs. If they lose or even happen to win by 5 or less they stay in D4.

I am very confused about this as well. Manteca has been the bumble team the last couple of years. Oakdale has always been D3 for playoffs since playing Whitney in 2007 Championship, I believe. Oakdale has close to 1700 kids. I don't get why all of a sudden they are a D4 in playoffs.

Okay for you play and Champ I will type really slow where you can keep up "wink,wink".out of 12 team predicted D4 team the largest enrollment Vista D 1800.The lowest enrollment is CR 1264 I take it they are one of the schools pushed up for continued success rule.
. Out of the 12 teams 7 have larger enrollment than Oakdale. So Oakdale is technically a D4 team by enrollment. As for Oakdale playing in D3 in the last few years. Oakdale was either VOL Champion or defending D3 champion. So like Manteca this year is defending D3 champion. So they are in D3. Not to demean the team this year are a small. They are well coached keeps them in games. Now Oakdale will back in D3 next year and if Placer takes care of business they could meet in playoffs next, Oh almost forgot Oakdale's enrollment is 1568.

Wood does not look like they will make it...they did not look impressive against Vanden as if they were in a sleep mode or something...they will be a 7-3 team where will this place them if they are 3rd in MEL?
